Hey, folks, I wanted to share this grow with you all, having seen some phenomenal ACE and CBG grows here. I'm pretty sure I'll get the best guidance in this forum;) the idea is to find some excellent mother plants for indoor this spring and outdoor for summer😉

On Feb 14 I dropped 2panama, 2nepjam and 2 tikal (freebies), all of these regs, into the dirt in solo cups, w/heatpad. Nepjam and panama were up the next day, Tikal a little after, all by 18 feb., except one tikal that never germed. PH pen had dried out a bit and was reading way low, so plants suffered improper ph for a bit, nepjam showing it the earliest and most, forcing a flush right after uppot for everybody.

Now they're right on it @35days, with the big nepjam showing sex @18\6 for a few days now, although hard to see exactly which. Looks like balls on him/her. The panamas and tikal are close to declaring their allegiance, too. When I saw that Nepjam considering dudehood and his little sister suffering from pH probs, I threw a fem bean in the dirt, just two days ago, along with a Banghi haze reg.

On deck and mostly for outdoor, I've got Malawi, Golden Tiger, Caribe and Jarilla, also all regs. Here're some pics from this AM. In group shot, the four 35dayers are Nepjam (I think male), top left, the two in middle are panama reds, the front one squatter, redder than the one behind, who's more columnar. The little fat bush on the right is Tikal. Her little sister is the biggest of those still in solo cups. Panama us next to her, and in the top left corner is the very sensitive Nepal little sista. Recovering.

Have a great day, input welcome! Soil is seedling mix in solo cups, with age old Help! And great white root powder. At repot, I cut the seedling mix with a softly fertilized mix by 1\2, add a bit of mushroom compost and reg compost. Add to water and away we go!

Hey, scai, good question. I wasn't looking to make new crosses, just make a buncha seeds, Panama to Panama, Malawi to Malawi, etc. Also find keeper mothers for cloning and flowa;) I do want to buy the Malawi/PCK, Panama haze, Malawi haze etc... I'll leave the breeding to dubi et al:tiphat:

I put in my carbon filter and extraction, w/solis tek 400wMH. I love the LED for veg, but it's harder to see nute def. Now they're in white light, I see the Panama really need a feeding.

Tangwena, I'm honored to have you here;) I just this second finished your cob thread, top to bottom, and man is it inspiring, one of the best I've read, super generous.
As for the little space, pretty much any girl that dares flower in that tent is subject to some sort of bondage;) lst and then scrog, usually. The intention at the moment is to keep the plants small until they show sex and then clone the girls, flower the mothers (don't think they'll be more than 3-4) to see who's a keeper and then put a few clones outdoors. I also may get a bigger tent for flower only;)
Panama has been the strain that most sparked my interest in ACE, and your description of the cobbed version has me wanting to get the breeders pack and go NUTS. Thanks for stopping in, Dwd

Hi DWD sounds like a sound plan, pretty much what I have to do, as I only have a small grow space as well.
The Panama I have is one of the best plants I have grown outstanding buds and effect.
I have been testing the sweat cured buds against the cob cured, both 3 months aged now.
They are so different in effect but both very very strong, the sweat cured are the best tasting and best looking with a very powerful up motivated high lasts all day absolute bliss.
The cob cured are so strong I cant believe the effects, the other day on a dose larger than normal I was so high i was getting visual hallucinations, I got to the point where I was concerned, and a bit scared, I had to focus my mind on good things to stop the random images.
That has not happened to me since I was in Africa, and has me wanting to keep a clone of this plant forever. All the cobs I have been tasting have been amazing from my last grow. If you get into making them you will never be unhappy again.

"Never be unhappy again"! 😉
I believe you, Tangwena😁

Welcome and thank you, northerner!

Tangwena, what size pots did you start flower in? I'm in 1gal at the moment, will have them in 5gal smartpots to finish. Should I uppot before 11/13 to something a little bigger, I.e.2-3 gal, until week 3 flower?

I'm a bit embarrassed at how many problems I've had during these six weeks; pH pen way off, two bulbs ruined w/newb mistakes, one bulb malfunction, three different types of light... I'm amazed they've stuck with me. I'm about ready to top and clone the two Panama and Tikal, repot the second wave that a re still in solo cups to 1 gal and lower daylight times in a week or so. I plan to flower four plants in the tent, starting in 10-14 days.:peacock::peacock::peacock::peacock:

Soil pH has returned to the zone they like and they're getting kelp n fish 3-2-2 this week and are ALL happy since yesterday. I've had the hardest time keeping the Nepjams happy, so this is a huge relief.

Here's a pic or two from 2-3 days back. The seedlings were born 10 days ago and are Nepjam fem and Bangi Haze. Panama s are on the right, Tikal are the two fat leaved ones, then you have a Nepjam reg and another Panama. If you recognize any phenos, shout it out!

Hi buddy I am no expert at growing, I use 12ltr thats about 2 gallon I think, oblong oil drip trays with drain holes drilled in the bottom. But thats so I can give them root space to grow rather than deep pots.
I have been underfeeding my latest crop and have only just upped the feed to what appears to be the correct level! so my advice is no good ha ha.
They are strong plants so you will do well I am sure, they will bounce back from most mistakes I find. Let them get established and they will explode on you.

Right you are, Tangwena, they seem to be about at that point:biggrin:

I repotted all but the 3rd wave after topping the larger Panama and the big Tikal and potted them as horizontally as I could. Still haven't topped little Tikal or bushy Panama, gonna wait until they dig in their new shoes. As you said, Tangwena, they aimed their branches at the sky within hours. I've also been very tentative with feeding, but added some jump start and great white to the new pots and watered with a light dose of fish n kelp and micronutes.

All look happy:woohoo: The Tikals and Panama will go to flower soon and the rest outside to veg and be cloned. S peaking of clones, got the cloner up and running and the tops look good. Pics...

3-4 days after repot.

3-4 days after repot.

Looking good today, branching up for the biggest of them. Digging in real well for the second wave. I've done a tiny bit of tying down and will do more when secondary branches are a tad longer. The two seedlings are hugely fat. Will repot soon. They're reacting really well to topping:peacock::biggrin:

Pics in good light-doing awesome

Pics in good light-doing awesome

I renamed Panama 1, the lanky green one "Tangwena's choice"😁 I think that'll be the longer flowering of the three, and P2 "Zandar's bush" as it looks like the dark pheno he chose to run as clone in snowonmypanama thread... I tied down a bunch of branches on Tangwena's after the pics.

The Tikals are great growers, fat and females both, very thick little stems and react great to topping.

Seedlings will get repot today. Someone mentioned a higher female to male ratio for sativa... Seems to be the case; 2/2 for the Tikal, 2/2 for Panama (waiting on #3to shout it out) and only one male so far, the great looking Nepjam I put out in the snow. Only fem bean in there is the seedling Nepjam.

Reduced light 1/2hr yesterday. Do the same every two-three days now until full flower for the four females... say that fast a few times;)

Da evidence:

13hrs light, first good feeding for stretch.

Hey fellas, I've been very minimal feeding so far, so gave them a good 800ppm veg feeding for the upcoming stretch. I've got to move the four smallest plants out of the tent in the next few days. I have a few options.
First pic is low profile of canopy before stretch
Second is Panama side of tent
Third Tikal side
Seedlings (Nepjam fem and Bangi)
Fimmed Nepjam and Panama at back. 13hrs light.

All 8 doing great.
Took clones from bottom of Panama 1+2, and Tikal clone is getting nice roots.
I am smitten by Panama #2. Aesthetically one of the coolest plants I've ever seen.
Only 6 plants are in the tent today, and this weekend the last 4 will go outside. :woohoo:
Had a little scare with preflowers on Pan2, but they shot pistils:peacock:

Oh the heartbreak... Panama #2 insists he's a dude. Best looking plant ever. So his place in the tent will be taken by the two larger outdoor plants. First to declare womanhood gets to stay in. Since he's really starting to flower, I'm going to keep him and collect some pollen for Panama#1. First time I'll make seeds on purpose;)
