The NEW E-Papillon 1000W Thread

Okay, let me see if I can make my question a little more clear. At what angle is the light emitted outward from the lamp? If the suggested height is 3' above a 5x5 tray, then what is the area of illumination from 1' above the tray? At what height would I need to hang the fixture to avoid a 45* angle roof?

I'm mostly concerned about the closed ends of the light and less about the open ends, as it won't be hindered by the roof as much.

The e-paps pulled 14.5lbs for me in a 12x12 area with 6 E-papillon 1000w's. Thanks DGS! I did minimum work in the room just too see how these lights performed. I know if I actually put in the work I could pull down 18lbs in this room easy. SL :shooty:

Any if you switched to the new Phantom DE setup? I like it because it allows you to seperate the ballast and light if you choose

LOL!
The choice of having the light close to the ballast is to avoid magnetic interferences.
:tiphat:

Never had any "magnetic interferences". The ballasts run around 110 degrees. Not sure how many BTU's that adds to the requirement in the room but it cant be a ton id assume.

If I was doing a table scrog grow I would have went Gavita.

But I think the E-paps are working good with 5-6' plants without having to hang Vert bare bulbs in the room.

I hope that your right. I'm trying to do 1 plant per light in a 16 light room and I didn't want to do a vertical bare bulb grow because there's more light in these DE lights. I didn't know what to do but this comment makes me think that this would be a good idea. I think some E-paps are in my future.
