Too much covering up real questions with defensive rebuttals. Dr. Young you haven't even used the product yet you claim to know everything about it, and defend it so thoroughly.

I doubt Lush is on such a cutting edge of LED tech that they can't share some data with us, I mean there are real multi million dollar corps working on LED tech. When your taking part in the greenrush movement like Lush is, you need to share all the info you can to gain skepticlal customers....no data=no customers, except for some sheep....easy equation

Dr. Fever, you are vegging cuttings, so advertising short veg times under HID is pretty dishonest that way.

how long would it take you to veg a plant from seed to the size of those you advertise as having been vegged for 36 days? a lot more, that's how much.

peace

Our 330w Vegetator 2x will outperform a 8 lamp T5 450w fixture, saving you about 25%. The true benefit comes from growing healthier plants that grow faster and bigger. You will see an increase in root mass, closer internode spacing and bottom growth expansion. At the end of your vegetation period it's clear to see that a Lush plant is prepared to produce bigger flowers. We also have a plant count constraint here in Michigan. One of the biggest reasons for the creation of Lush lights. Being allowed only 72 plants, it was necessary to get as much as possible from every plant. I hope this is the answer you were looking for. If not, please let me know and I'll try again. Thank you, Renae.

Thank you.

We are allowed only 6 plants per person (recreationally). So the smaller lights make better sense for us.

By the way, what is the effective foot print of the 330watt Vegetator? shape and size please... and are we still holding the 18"-24" distance to foliage?

edit; Never mind, I got your website to work. 4th try on the 'products' tab.

Hey 2legal I think that link lush posted says the vegatator is like a 2x3 foot print. I followed the link and looked but am a stoner and might be a little off because I looked at it last night. Lmao. Smoking bud effects the memory. Lol

Oops that was for the 190w vegatator as far as I remember reading.

No it doesn't.

Now what were we talking about?

Lots of people on here wanting to try the products for themselves. So do it. Pop your beans today and order the model you are interested in. By the time you get the light they will be ready to go under it. Then grow them out and see for yourself the results. (Posting results along the way of course). If u get to the end and u like what u see u have a nice fixture and some fruits of your labor. If you don't like the results then u can send the product back to lush. They offer a 90 day money back guarantee. Plus you would still have the fruits of your labor to enjoy/offer for others. Even if u had to pay for shipping or restocking fees, those fruits would surely cover the expense.

....that being said....sure seems like lush stands strong behind their products. I can't wait til they get some smaller products that I can use for my situation.

I should add that even if you were not satisfied and sent the product back lush would probably appreciate the feedback about their product. Its a win/win for the company. Its either a sale or a chance to learn and make a better product.

Yeah I want to invest 1500 in a light for a win/win for the company. lmao.

Ive got no probs with a company trying to be successful, but im not doing it for them, im doing it for me and what it can do for me and my buds.

If the yields can compare, they are more efficient, then im going to run one and see.

But so far I haven't gotten the answers to those questions, so why in the world would I take a shot in the dark for 1500 unless I was owner or employee of the company and had something to gain.

Ur not going to sell me with pics, or somebody just being excited about the potential. Lets here the details of how its more efficient.

how it can compare with yields, ideally in our back yard, here by somebody that is part of the community that has an unbiased opinion.

I appreciate dr youngs enthusiasm, but he has made it perfectly clear that he thinks lush is the best thing since sliced bread. A bit odd since he hasn't grown with them yet. Certainly I wouldn't call that unbiased.

I wont jump to any conclusions either way. But until someone around here show some stuff that I can look at and make sense of, more than just flower pics, I have no information to make me believe this is a better product.

I run 600w hps in flower. Which system matches up with that?

I dont get the whole "covering up, hiding" bs.... JUST GO TO THE WEBSITE.... it isnt about looking at prices... its about the science that is talked about on the website... Everything you keep saying every single day... They wont show us this, and that... ITS ON THE WEBSITE

I didn't say those things so I guess u aren't talking to me but, I will say this about going to the website.

I am a member of this forum, u and lush are too. U have told me about a product and want to sell it to members of our community.

I would expect if they wanted to sell it they would come here and address the questions that would make people want to buy it. if its just an advertisement, cool, I will stop asking questions.

Dr young, do u work for lush, as im not clear on that?

So here's a totally irrelevant question..

Why are some of the largest nitwits on this site "Doctors"?

I feel the same way. I hope these really are good lights but we need to see full grows. The thread in Lush Lighting's signature contains some very nice pictures of a full LED room and the plants look pretty big. If those lights grew those plants then maybe these lights have a chance. I'd like hear yield data. Also there was a room with all LED lights and there was an AC in there as well. So that means that there is still heat built up in the room which require more watts to be used to cool them. When the LED guys compare an LED grow to a HPS grow, they seem to be deceptive about total watts and make the rules in there favor. If you had a room with 4,000 watts of LED panels, I think you would still need to cool the room. I'd like to see comparisons with how many watts a 4,000 watt HPS grow would use compared to a 4,000 watt LED grow. When I grow HPS in a 4 light room, I use a 15,000 BTU AC that takes up about 1500 watts. The problem with trying to get the correct watts used is that the AC isn't always using the 1500 watts but the LED guys will act like those watts are always on, but they are not. Maybe it's around another 1,000 watts that you'd have to add to your grow for the AC.

But then there's the HPS guys that don't use AC's because they exchange air with the outside. The LED guys don't want to pay any attention to those numbers in watts. Heck they are still rating 1,000 watt ballasts around 1200 watts when it's 1050 watts. If people try to fudge the numbers, they start to look shady. You can't compare your new LED technology to old HPS ballasts from years ago.

Then they say that this 650 watt light is better than 1,000 watt HPS but if you look in Lush Lightings thread, they talk about the yield being less than 2 pounds but with a 1,000 watt HPS you're getting 2+ pounds. Why not compare 650 watt LED light to a 600 HPS light and do a easy side by side in 2 4'x4' tents to end this once and for all. If the lights are so great, why doesn't Lush Lighting have pictures of these types of tests? Surely a company would run these types of tests which would also sell many lights if there claims were right. Every test that I've seen comparing LED to HPS was done very poorly with light contamination. I got plenty of HPS lights and would easily do a side by side in 2 x 4x4 rooms if given the opportunity. I'm not knocking this company or LED technology. Again I hope these lights are the real deal. I'd love to have a room filled with LED's if they were that good.

Snype u pretty much nailed it. the experienced people here that know whats up are waiting for info like this. Pretty pics aren't going to cut it. I hope lush is a good company that has a good product. Id love to support a Michigan company, nothing would make me happier.

But as a friend and mentor likes to say,

the proof is in the pudding!

There is proof, and they dont say a 650w is a 1000w comparison.. The 435w is.

I'm not a employee for Lush

Dr young, I appreciate ur enthusiasm. But u aren't doing lush any favors.

I have asked simple questions. The one answer I got directed me toward flowering pics. that's nice, but im an adult who makes informed decisions.

Of course I can go to there website and research. So far I feel no reason too.

That's why im asking lush people, so im not directing my questions at u, as u are not part of the company and have already made ur mind up. that's fine and I wish u well.

U might have good info but it gets lost in all the defensive remarks. I would like to understand why led's use 1/3 of the electricity. So if I plug in a 600w led it will only consume 1/3, compared to a 600w hps?

Its statements like these that aren't clearly explained that makes a educated person pause with caution. If u don't understand what I mean, that's ok, I just need to ask someone else.

So u edited and added those last paragraphs as I was writing my post. I hold no ill will towards u dr young, I hope u do well and have the success ur looking for with LED's. But listen to ur own words and that of the lush people, u have lost perspective, and are causing credibility problems for the lush people.

A 435w LED competes with the output of a 1,000w HPS.
Yes 600w is 600w

Seek to understand then judge...

Dr. Young, while your unbridled advocacy is a wonder to behold, you aren't doing Lush any favors here.

You have tried to dismiss some very knowledgeable grower's questions as being answered on the web site. I've reviewed the web site, and the answers aren't there.

You re-post advertising copy and hold it up as scientific evidence. It isn't.

The simple fact is, you are so green to this technology that you don't even know what questions to ask. Get some experience and continue studying the technology, and people will give a bit more credence to your input.

And by the way, I've used LEDs extensively, have built numerous LED fixtures of my own, and am largely in favor of them.

*edit* Funny, I was typing and MM said virtually the same thing!
