What is this during phenomenon? I can't recall ever having a cut dud out. What leads to a dud?

In my method i think pressure is the biggest key.... when it comes out the bag i have a 1FT X 1FT low micron screen that i press it in to compact it and to further remove moisture than wrapped in cellophane paper (the clear paper you see on cigarettes) all the seals are taped so its water proof that its wrapped again with newspaper all seams taped.... than place the whole thing under water until the newspaper is all wet than place it in the oven @ 350 until newspaper is dry... take it out of the oven let it sit for 15 -25 mins.... unwrap all of it and theres your BLOCK!!! then its moved to a piece of glass that i sit it on when its done.

Its an old method but it works great for me. Hope this helps!

after straining, I spoon it out on a 25iu screen. then onto some parchment paper. then into the freezer for 30 mins. flip, let sit another 30 mins. remove from freezer. place on new piece of parchment paper, flip after 1 hr. let sit for 1 week or until its dried. I don't chop it up, grate it, cut it, I leave it in wafer like patties to dry completely. then I dig in and enjoy.

whats all the freezing supposed to do ? I personally think he just has a exceptional oily run of hash, I have had it like that from the sour dub, you could dab it just like oil , it wouldent dry no matter how long you tried.

my last batch turned out like that , i left out broken up for over a month & it wouldn't dry , was always tacky .

Try sitting the 25u "pressing screen" on a towel or some paper towels to help wick the water. I also plop my bag on a towel before I scrap the big patty of out of hone bag.

Another good trick, use cardboard. It's a desiccant and will suck the moisture out of the hash and help with drying tremendously. If you have big chunks it's going to stay melty, freeze and then scrape a little, freeze, scrape, etc etc. keep your microplane in the freezer too

shoot,i take my pressing screen and wrap that in a towel and jump up and down on it to squeeze the water out...i will do that in several fresh dry spots on the towel until i dont get anymore moisture coming out,then i can freeze it and run it through a sieve to powder it back up for easier smoking.

Throw the patty in a covered tupperware bowl with some dry rice, works like a charm.

Theres a few things i do to hash after i run through bags to make it not hold water and not be gooy. First i never press the hash when its wet, i believe that traps some moisture in it that never ever goes away. I like to use a clean metal tray about 24x16 that i keep cold in the fridge. Put a pile of paper towels on metal sheet and cover with 25 micron screen. Stick wet hash on screen and let paper towels and gravity absorb water and stick in fridge for 20 minutes then flip hash and let sit another 20 minutes in fridge. After that i dump the hash on the cold metal sheet and keep it in the fridge while i chop it up really fine or microplane it. The cold keeps it from getting gooy and clumping up. Last i stick tray in a cold room around 58f with lower humidity for 24-48 hours to finish drying with one chop/loosen up around 12 hours into drying.

Not sure, especially GB. I stepped in shit, after getting screwed. Bought s1 seeds that were duds, and really cool guy, took care of me with cuts.
