my og18 has a very kerosine like bottom much like the ecsd...I'm not trying to argue with you but it's there and very defined....Read up on it a little bit, they chose the #18 plant specifically because of this trait, makes me think you're just disagreeing because you feel like it and don't really have experience with it......I do though....I ran it twice both times it showed up....

It's a seed strain so I'd imagine there is more than one pheno to be found so you both are probably right. Not to mention different grow styles can make a strain a little different in taste and smell.

The way they make it sound is that the 18 was a pheno found when they reversed their sfv cut, a pheno in particular that had more of a sour taste and smell.
The "headband" is their straight up sour x og hybrid, in my experience it was split right down the middle, just what you'd expect from an og/sour hybrid.

FWIW that does look a little more sour diesel then just a straight OG. Either way, nice find, if you are happy with it thats all that matters.

I think the OG as a clone only day is over, many strains out there in seed form that are just as good if not better than the legit OG cuts I had.

I've sampled #18's that were a weak representation of OG in RI and tried a nice example at the MI high times cup this summer.
the DNA kosher and headband put out some nice pheno's. I've bought flowers that I liked but not grown any yet.
I grabbed a Kosher clone in A2 after the cup and it's @ 4 weeks with no telling yet.

now that I have a good OGKB cookies I say yes OG Kush is my most sought after cut.

trying out a number of beans and clone onlys as we speak. it does seem that og kush is one strain that stays in style, fads in cannabis come and go but og is pretty consistently near the top of the list of valued herb year after year. thers some seriously well reviewed crosses getting released. it jst a matter of whether they are popping out respectable facsimiles and out of how many beans do you find an equivalent or better.

I live in a remote part of the US, faaaaar removed from any of these next-level clone-only cuts - From my perspective, even the lamest OG variant sounds like an incredible treat. :D

Don't mind me - I'll just be over here in the corner popping beans 4 at a time, playing the 10,000:1 odds of finding that next legendary pheno... :joint:
thats weird your profile says youre in the pnw.
