It has been steadily doubling every 28 days from the start. By this January it will be 1.4 million. The doubling is an exponential function. It's just math.

In the infected areas almost all medial care has collapsed. Liberia has pretty much no doctors left. Workers are fleeing the health care system, which was very weak before.
