New beans are in the make. I'll keep you all updated.
Massive thanks to Jochen for posting up his test grow,
i new he would smash it out the park, as he is a very good grower.
Some other IC heads also got a few beans to try.
maybe they will post up, sometime soon?

With these old elite clones you have to time the pollination perfectly or you
end up with only 20 seeds instead of 2000. Each one seems to have a certain sweet spot.

Male selection is under way.Pics to come.

Mack's Chem Project

Hello dear icmag friends and growers,

Today it is time for my last update from this run, I wanted to make two posts but the plants were to fast and have to be harvested.
I was very busy this week, if not, I would have havested them, but so I do it now. But before I end my grow I have the chance
to make some nice pics from the swollen buds that I want to show to you. Let me start again with the Stardawg cross:

Stardawg IX x Chemdog '91

Lets follow with some different Chemdog d x Chemdog '91 and start with two pictures of the #3

That was the last picture of this real interesting grow, which made me very happy. Happy because I had no hermies and a real
stable growth, the plants produced a lot of wonderful smelling weed and I hope I could help a little bit. Thanks for giving me
your genetics, I have tried to do my best and can say I'm very satisfied with the result, so thanks a lot!
See you all at the forum....

Jochen...I can see some nanners in the various pics...

And I still can't figure you why your plants are still throwing white hairs like crazy...seems like they are over fed in general or as if they aren't fully finished...

It's confusing to me because I saw the same thing happen when you ran the BooBerry genes - the never ending white hairs...I remember saying you should have taken those plants longer, etc, etc...

But now, after seeing this, I'm just wondering if it isn't a result of your feeding regimen having too much nitrogen in general - but then I look at your leaf tips, and I don't see but barely any burn...and they seem to be yellowing off just fine.

Is it really high temps in your garden??

I don't know...your grows make me scratch my head in confusion....LOL. And please, don't take this as an insult - it's not meant that way - I'm just trying to understand why your plants come out the way they do...

But regardless - these flowers looked like they stacked really well. That Chem D x '91 #3 looks like a great plant and like it could really put up some nice numbers yield wise...

Personal preference I guess...I reckon 10-11 weeks is the sweet spot for Chem genes. How far did these go...8-9?

Jochen - With D crosses could you get a sense what the 91 was bringing to the party aroma wise? I got all fuel, onions and funk.

Yeah, I'm just trying to understand the LOOK...more so than the harvest time. Because when I see hairs popping out like that late into flower...I panic and assume I've done something wrong...because usually when I see that...I see nanners in the same location of the hairs...

So I'm also kind of wondering, if the few nanners I'm seeing are not the result of a heavy feeding or heat stress...etc...

I'm really not criticizing as much as I'm trying to understand the end result and the outcome. Like I said, I think Jochen and I had the same talk / general conversation on a previous grow of his - and it had me thinking it was just the expression in the genetics - and honestly had me kinda bummed - although he said it was good / enjoyable smoke.

Now I'm seeing similar results with these genetics in his garden - and I'm realizing it is more environmental that genetic...and I'm trying to put my finger on WHY his plants are behaving in such a manner.

Only thing I can figure is high heat - or larger plants in small containers that are requiring him to feed additional nitrogen late into flower to in order to keep them green up to 8-9wks...

I'm just trying to learn why / how he's getting those results...and if those nanners I'm seeing couldn't be avoided entirely under different environmental conditions...

white hairs...

white hairs...

Hello Frank,

I wrote you a pm because its a special theme between us, I see when my buds have a few white hairs, but I dont had the feeling I have done something wrong, like you seemed to have it as you wrote before. But I want to end that discussion here and will tell you why, I gave you all informations I have and I am not able to help more. Me and a friend are finishing the harvest, that means my friend is nailed at his couch seat after a little bit of scissor hash and I need much to long for my sentences and thinking, he,he, but today I could end a very good grow, that made me very happy.
You know this is the happy time of the harvest and I feel so good as it should be and I dont want to argue or discuss a problem today that I dont have. Can you understand and evtl. accept that?! That would be very nice, because I really like you...

They had 10 weeks of flower, chems and diesels get always between 10-11 weeks of flower from me.
And to your aroma question, the '91 has all the ground aromas like fuel, onions and funk, too, but in
another strength, for me it had more diesel, but that's personal taste. I hope I understood you right....

last round of ecsd and strawberry diesel (kksc x sd ibl) would not stop throwing white hairs, even at 90 days flowering time. They just were not happy; they were not horribly unhappy either.

have ran ecsd prob 25+ times now, and straw d 10? this doesnt happen very often in our environment.

Fuel, onions and funk, sounds like the Chem D to me. Especially the onion.....the skva has no onion smell. The Chem D is the real stanky one. To me the 91 skva smells and tastes somewhat of a mix of Chem4, Sour Diesel and OG.

Yo Jochen well done mate! All the plants look bomb...I see a lot of potential in them. The 91 pollen turns everything into gold :peacock:. Hope you kept cut of all phenos:tiphat:

great genetics, grow and pictures....well done all the way around....what are your favorite phenos? the stardawg ix hybrid and phenos 2 and 5 catch my eye as the favorites, but they all look great.....what smells are you getting off them and which girl is the strongest smelling? again, great job.....

The more I see these seeds the more I wish they were available to the public. Onion fuel goodness, mmmmmm. My headband smells like garlic, which is a lot more enjoyable than it sounds
