I cant wait to see what you get.. one of my favorite parts of growing . is the phenohunt.. especially round 2.. when u flower them out from clone to see If they are still worth keeping around or not.. usually I phenohunt for 3-4 runs on the females to make sure no hermies and to make sure it wasn't a fluke and it was 1 good run. or whatever.. in order to chose the correct keeper..

but phenohunts can be fun when good genetics are in the crosses..

I can't wait either! So exciting, working with the new stuff. I'll be taking clones within the next week or so. These beans germinated so fast, I wonder how fast they root when cloned!

This cross involves two of my all time favorite strains (At least I'm pretty sure the GG4 is.. I've smoked it only 3 or 4 times). So pleasant. Needless to say, this cross is super intriguing to me.

Stick around, let's hunt for maybe the next best thing.. ?

Hey GRIMS, looking good in there. Got my eye on #2, take care 1

Thanks KCS! They are quite vigorous (growing from seed is awesome!). #2 eh? I got my eye on #1 which seems to be more Glue dominant. I was talking to my buddy and he was explaining that the GSC seems to be very dominant in most crosses. Phenotype #2 seems to have more GSC influence so #1 caught my eye because it seemed... different. We shall see who stays and who goes! Keeping both if they're both super flame, obviously.

I'm liking how #1 is looking, crazy as it seems, but it sort of has a Pie/GDP look in the leaf structure......

definitely looking lush, Grims.

Peace

how big you get em before flowering a pheno run?

i usually get them to were they are at now.. take 2-5 clones from each.. and toss in flower.. i dont like wasting tons of time vegging.. for phenohunts.. i rather see what it produces. and go from there..

also i usually go 2-3 runs per pheno.. just because.. u gotta be positive theres no hermi.. or that they will be consistent.

I'm taking clones tonight and then these two will be flipped within the next week and half. If I get some really nice results I'll be so excited to really do a long veg and see her really put out! I'm thinking 7 gallons might be overkill for this round? What do you think? 600 watt HPS, 8 plants total.

Thanks for the tips :tiphat:

That sounds like an exciting cross for sure! It will be cool to share and compare our results. I can't wait for the stack either.... Enjoy the show, should get a lot more exciting here pretty soon :dance013:

Hey guys I know things aren't too exciting yet... The show will get much more intriguing with the flip, obviously. I'm posting these pictures so often because I'm just so impressed with the vigorous growth and the plant structure is looking really, really nice. I took clones yesterday to back up the genetics (2 of each, and I'll likely take another cut of each in super early flower to be safe) as well as prepare another round in the bloom room.

These babies are on day 47 (from when seed was put in soil) and are looking pretty good. These two will be flowered along with a few other strains under the same 600w. I'm not going to SCROG, like my other table, because the strains will all have different growth rates and heights and such.. I will be using stakes to support heavy colas. I plan on flowering 8 plants in 7 gallons under 600 watts. I was thinking 6 plants may be better... What do you think?

Here they are! (Pheno 1, pheno 2)

put it this way man.. I ran my 2000w room.. in 3 gallons.. and 3000w room at 5 gallons.. the same amount of plants under each light.. and to be honest.. the yield isn't looking much different to be completely honest. not much different at all..

the thing I will say .. I noticed.. even if your transplanting up to a bigger pot to flip.. as long as you allow the plant to get into that soil root wise.. and get settled before flipping to flower.. yields are dramatically increased.. as opposed to transplanting and flipping into 12/12 the same day..

I really appreciate the advice! I'm thinking I'll do 5 gallons (instead of 7's)... give them an additional week of veg and hit them with some H&G Roots Excelurator and flip them.

Cookies is pretty damn tasty, and I really like the Forum cut. The Glue is really pleasant and strong but definitely quite different than the Cooks. Should be some interesting results here! :dance013:
