Trying to win a division here and gonna drop 2 out of 3 to a team 18 games out of first. Waiting for Ashton Kutcher to jump out and tell me I've been punked.

I am sorry I have not been keeping up here, but the Yankees have been eliminated, and my beloved Red Sox already several days ago. But looking forward to next year, I saw promise in guys I never heard of, and well, I hope for 70 wins at least this year. Go 2015 Red Sox!

Yep. I was trippin' out. I was rooting for Baltimore to tie it up so Jeter could get another at bat. I couldn't believe it when it happened!
And then for Jeter to be thrust into that position to win the game was surreal in itself, but the hit was sublime. Only way it could have been better is if it had been a home run.
Jeter can still play, no doubt.
Shame to see him go, but great way to go out at Yankee Stadium.

it's going to be friggin' weird watching the

Grats cards on their 12th division championship.

Getting past these Dodgers is going to be rough though.

I respect that Jeter was a great player but he was even moreso an enemy to the Red Sox, I remember him costing us at least 1 ALCS championship and violent thoughts were in my mind for a split second I will admit. I was wrong that split second, but he was part of the "evil empire" and once an enemy always an enemy. I did not understand all the warm and fuzzy feelings toward an enemy that many had. He even said it was good to be a key part of the rivalry, no warm and fuzzy words of reconciliation there! I am sorry, I know he was a great player and respect that fact, but I can never warm up to all the agony he caused the Red Sox and other teams. I still feel respect to those who could be more open minded than me in a way, and in a way was wondering "what the hell you thinking?". Did they or would they ever show one of our great retiring players that much respect in their home park? Maybe they did, but I highly doubt it Be the bigger/classier person or team we were and proud of that at least. I also cannot feel too sorry for some guy that got paid $20+M to play a game and make my life miserable in the process barring 3 years where we overcame it. I apologize to the NYY fans, and moreso to the kind and gentle Red Sox fans, I should be able to separate my hate for the team (and another NY team) and a player and embrace the vibe or whatever but I just can't. Forgive me! Oh hell, do nothing of the sort, hard core old school fan to the end! :D
