Every day or 2 days depending on my activity level. Ive gone 6 days while backpacking. Just let me say if you go 6 days, make sure theres a breeze around you. You think your backside is gonna stink? Try the front!

we used to use smoke from the fire to help with this..it really helps with bacteria and the smell...old hunters /hikers trick..altho I am oldschool polar bear club person and cold water don't bother me much
I wasn't talking personal records, , WG, trout but 3+ months in the bush in 1968, with rest of my platoon,, we didn't smell anything.

That probably helped keep the VC away.

They figured nothing living could smell that bad and they already patrolled that area where you were and left some dead along the way so they went somewhere else.

What about that person who says they don't NEED to wear deodorant cause they barely sweat....ugh....so nasty

If you out camping...who cares...but if you need to sit or stand closer than an arms length from people...wear some bloody deodorant and shower every day..

I shower at least once a day...and if it is trimming time...I have to shower after each trim sesh if I want to hang around upstairs lol.

Wife hates the smell of my fine meds....gives her a headache which means she becomes a headache for me....easier to just strip off clothes downstairs and run upstairs to the shower after cutting.

and a warm bath when I am done work and want to relax

(every now and then)

I wish I could use deodorant or cologne, I break out in a rash and I'm here to tell you that a week long rash in the pits is absolutely a pain.

Shower every day.

I gave up deodorant about 25 years ago. I bathe regularly (when I can) and use Ivory soap. No odor issues in normal day to day. Everyone's mileage varies though

i worked in Portsmouth, England for 8 months in the late 80s, for a fortune 500 company doing some software development. I was on a team that included, the 2nd in charge, a little British man. He was kinda like a small version of the Ken doll, neat as a pin, his suit (yeah only 1) was very expensive and attractive looking,

That bloke would, no exaggerations, make your eyes water if you had to sit next to him in the morning meeting.. if you were late to the meeting, the last open chair was 'always' next to him. so not only did this person not shower every day, our guess was he just steamed his suit at home and passed on the cleaners for it..

ONE SUIT! that's all he had, or at least the only one I ever saw him in and I saw him every work day. He never took showers (didn't even have a shower in his home), he took a bath when necessary and couldn't understand "you Americans" taking showers.

yeah I don't wear deodorant, I find it actually makes my body odor worse. I will sprits a bit of cologne on my pits though. I find it works much better than deodorant. I actually think they market deodorant to cause you to have to shower more often and therefor buy more soap and shampoo from the same company that makes the deodorant.

if I put on deodorant I have to shower everyday. if I don't I can go 2 or sometimes een 3 days before developing a stink. I usually use how greasy my hair looks rather than odor as an indicator that I need to bathe most of the time

ive also noticed that what I eat contributes more to body odor than just about anything else. if you ever talk to any wwII vets who served in japan, they will tell you they could smell the enemy before they saw them. they smelled like fish because that was a staple in their diets.

well I know what you eat affects how your swimmers taste...had a girlfriend that made me drink lots of fruit juice or she wouldn't go there and do that lol...so it makes sense
