As far as lighting newbieninja, get a 600 watt adjustable ballast. I ipower has a nice cheap one with a 5 year warranty. If it dies, send it back and they will ship a new one pronto. You can dial it down to 300 watts, or have it at 450 or 600. $150 bucks.

Even if I put the balast in the electrical compartment, which is separate from the grow compartment, I'm worried HPS/MH lighting would cause too much heat in such a small space.

I think the question about whether 4" pots would be big enough to grow in until they show sex (assume sativa since that's the worst case scenario).

Newbbieninja, did you toss all your plants? What are you doing now? Did you find more seed? I lost what you were doing from all the debating about sexting under 24/0 or not. Very interesting read to a beginner.

Yeah, I trashed them because of the risk of hermies. I have one seedling growing in one box and will grow another in the other box as soon as I get another successful germination. I'll be using 6" pots this time.
