Mayhem is a perfect example.

Their early works, with Euronymous, are what I'm talking about. After that they are really Mayhem only in name

Live in Liepzig, would not be the masterpiece it is with a slick production job, period.

Not into Animals as Leaders, but their guitarist is great, his guitar sound isn't my cup of tea either , all I can think of is raindrops on a xylophone! Mad skill though! Give him a crunchy, buzz saw sound and I'd love it.

Glad to see more folks posting in here.

As far as being drunk and posting possibly offensive stuff, hey, I've been there too!

We all aren't going to like the same thing, but that's what sets metal apart. There is something for almost everyone, in the metal genre.

Two of my absolute favorite albums

Atlantean Kodex

Morbid Angel

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5JEzV-U-hOg

Don't sound anything alike, but I find ABSOLUTE GREATNESS in both albums.

Prefer their older albums. I do have everything up to Roots tho'! (except Morbid Visions)

Beneath the Remains and Schizophrenia, are must haves for any metal library. IMO.

VTA, I want a time machine to check out some of those shows I was too young, and far away from,to go see.

I could never get into Animals as Leaders because their name just sucks. I've found better metal in the Ukraine. For less, too.
