Forget that last question I see it was answered on the previous post! I'm so glad to see others out there mixing by hand. How long do you mix for? I like to do my 1st run mix extremely gentle for only about 2 mintues. It surprises folks how much you can yield of such a short gentle agitation. And then a 2nd run for 10 minutes or so of agitation.

Love the journal, i bought a five gallon washing machine and it has been incredible. Takes all the work out of it and I swear my final product is way more blonde and melty. It boils down to less contaminate, I also use fresh trim. I am also using an 8 bag kit. The best bags are 120 90 73 and 45. With 90 and the 73 being the best for the majority of what I run through it.

Would you mind if I post some pics of the bubble I am making? Scientific purposes of course. I also microplane mine. Not sure if it is the best or not but it does help with drying

Amazing job you have done, not only with the extractions themselves but the quality of photos as well! Very inspirational. I can't wait till harvest time so I can make myself some full melty goodness myself!

A few questions if you don't mind. Please forgive if they have already been covered as I quickly skimmed through the whole thread lusting over picture after picture.....

Do you use dry or frozen starting material? Do you do your extractions at any specific ambient temperatures? What brand of bags do you use? And how do you mix, by hand or with machine?

I never freeze my resin, would like to try it one day, but I prefer my trim to be cured as if they were flowers, but my last run ^^ up there.. Was from fresher material, that was dry, but not cured.

After curing for a few weeks, it is my melty-ess batch yet, and still shatters into little shards.

But the best hash is on pg 1 I believe(the stack of golden glands) and that was from trim that had been cured for roughly 8 months before extracting.

And I have shortened my first spin, used to go 10 minutes, now I spin for 5, then 10 for the 2nd.

I'm currently using some Ipower bags, not the best, but gets the job done...

Supposed to get BubbleBag brand name bags from my buddy sometime soon, trying to wait on those for my next spin of Blue Dream, crazy Terpenes in her, almost doesn't even smell like herb, smells exactly like blueberry muffins .

I use a dull kitchen knife to chop my hash, I feel like the micr-plane is rupturing glands, but everybody seems to have success...

I also noticed, a lot of resin sticks to the tool, and I can't recover it.

I had to go to the RIU thread to read it, but I definitely enjoyed the article and now live that exact philosophy...

My BHO is now only reserved for severe pain spikes, times of elevated stress, anger and anxiety...

And 2-3 back to back dabs right before bedtime.

Utilizing my flowers and hash to settle down as I watch television a couple hours prior to bedtime.

Also, use the hash to stimulate appetite.....
Lots of side-effects from my crazy immune system.

Here is the Blue Dream Trichomes

I've seriously never smelled a strain this fruity, so much so, that if I didn't know any better, I would think it is artificial.

For example..
I have it sealed inside Mason Jars, which are in a sealed floor safe that is half buried/bolted down into the foundation, the safe is in a closet in the very back of the house.

Every time, I leave the house, and come back home, as soon as I enter the front door..BAM!!
The aroma slaps me right in the face...

Can't wait to see how the resin comes out.

Very interesting friend. I always thought fresh frozen was needed to make this high of quality, as it's the only time I've been able to come out with full melt. For my harvest I was planning to trim wet but maybe I'll try trimming dry and working with dry material this time.

Mesh is mesh right? I guess brand doesn't matter so long as the stitching is good enough to not let anything bypass the mesh. I guess it's more about having the right bags. Do you use an 8 bag set? And do you use all bags?

I'd like to apologize for my absence, and want to say hello to all my great friends I've made here.

I will get back to all your PMs, and messages ASAP.

I unfortunately am currently trying to get over a deep deep depression in which engulfed my entire being. My very soul, being faced with disability at my age was/is a tough pill to swallow.

But, I will save the sob story for another day.

I'd like to share my latest gathering of Water Sieved Resin.

It was my first run in quite some time. (Also part of the depression)

I have a larger amount of trim awaiting to be extracted, but haven't made any hash in many months.

So, I ran a smaller batch to see if I still had the abilities to produce some decent hash.

Input Roughly 50 grams of very close sugar trim and shake from my " Scrap Jar" (Mostly consisting of Organic Outdoor)

Which was very well maintained.

I used a 90 micron bag this time and all bags below were nearly empty.

I assume from the high altitude sun and some solid genetics.

*One single bong rip of Flower(no hash) and I was as high as if I'd taken a dab of oil, but lasted way longer...I was amazed astounded and blown away.

Anyhow I can talk specifics at a later date.

Let's get into some images.

Yield was about 10% of the 90 micron.

As usual, tossed the other grades into my contaminate jar.
