The distance from the back of the screen to the center of the bulb is 26". With 600s I have gotten buds as close as 6" from the bulb with no burn.
If my vert canopy fills in, then its not comparable to the horizontal. 16 sf per light flat, vs 40+ sf per vert stack...

Agreed. You dont need to math me ;)

I've done a couple stacked grows with 2k, and 6' diameter trellis around it.. ends up being 100sq feet of trellis space, for 2 lights.

Best I've done is like .998 gpw. Lol. like 10 grams short of 2000 grams. (but im lazy and hash so much shit)

Was thinking about doing 5 vert setups, sorta like yours. 4 plants, 4 screens.. plants 3' from the lights. Each plant +/- 1lb.We're in business.

1lb per screen? how long of a veg to obtain those numbers?

I'm curious of how you come up with your distance from bulb to screen? I understand what the suggested distance between the bulb and the edge of the plants, but how are you figuring the addition of distance from the 'money spot' to the screen?
I will be running double stacked 1K, with four plants in a cylinder/ octagon.
I'm trying to understand the method to the madness:biggrin:

Because through veg and stretch the plants hug the screens. . The stems and leaf are however far the plant is away from the light..

By the end of flower, my buds sag hella towards the light. When you have a full canopy, sometimes you have to let some nugs hang in front of others. . Unless you wanna cut off the front branches to let the backs get more light, but thats kinda counter productive imo.

I should really defiliate more than i do, and im sure that would help, but ive tried 30" centers with barebulbs, and ive always burnt a couple buds at least

The back of the screen was determined from my previous site that was all vert.
The canopy on my screens end up 12-18 inches thick, from outer bud, to back of screen. That allows the buds to get 6-8 inches from the bulb.
Using 1k, you would need an additional 12" from the light...

What is the general rule of thumb for the safe application of avid? Do you spray as a foliar or apply with a drench.. And how close to the 12/12 flip can you come before you should no longer apply avid ?

veg or before 2 week in flower.... foliar with avid....

What are you trying to do?

Yeah, I'm with Miraculous. I'd take it a step further and look up your state's safe handling laws for it and just read the section relevant to whatever class pesticide Avid falls under. I'd imagine it's a class 2 but I don't actually know that. It'll be in the product information. You can find both sets of information online. That'll tell you what the government requires of people who use it in commercial agriculture and I'm pretty sure us pot growers can do at least as good as Monsanto.

Personally I wouldn't touch the stuff. I think I can usually get the same results with less lethal chemicals if I try hard enough. But if you're going to then memorizing the full list of personal protective equipment and safe handling practices before you crack a bottle is a MUST.

Been busy harvesting the OD. Had rain come in last week, and a 12' Glue collapsed into a neighboring plant... I had tied a rope around the trunk, but it was not enough. Early Glue shatter incoming...
My next indoor harvest will be the largely GG4 room. Taking them to at least 63, if not 70 days, so another week at least.
I will try to update later, but more rain coming thursday, so I am focusing on cherry picking the buds that can be taken now from my fast finishers.

Bravo Day ~21

Bravo Day ~21

Day 21, give or take a day. I have some slight yellowing on the vert plants which I believe is from too many watts too soon. Should have started at 400w...
picture.php

The OGHC horizontal should be one of my best yet as far as canopy goes.
picture.php

Tahoe stacks more than OGHC, so these should be fine in a few weeks.
picture.php

Tahoe vert filling in.
picture.php

OGHC vert needed taller plants...
