I used to get much better yields when running fresh/frozen trim in my bags as opposed to dry, and quality was leaps and bounds better...I still have a bunch of old bubble that I ran dry...the only thing it's good for is lacin doobers imho. I used to run a hammer drill and mortar mixer for about 15minutes or so(until the ice cubes are more like crushed ice) and would get a few zips of gooey bubble from a 4ker worth of trim..
the small micron screens are usually poor quality, and the guys I know that run solventless(hgh extracts) typically only keep the 73mu and 110mu, the quality in each bag is VERY strain dependent, the use a very gentle machine and the yields are very poor but the quality is top notch. I personally feel like the flav of some top grade dab-bubble is much better than bho, while maybe not as potent. I 100% prefer de-waxed bho over even the best purged non-dewaxed but that just a matter of personal preference...I always taste butane or residuals of some type in even the best bho's ran by friends. de-waxed is also a lot easier to handle, it wont shatter across the room etc.
sir- a lot of the dewaxed stuff that lig has(hgh) is made from premie material, their in house stuff(hgh) rarely has developed terps and thus diminished flav's...I know what your saying based on the stuff that they always dip the dabber in for ya...not the best example imho...I'm always very happy with the quality of the extracts that they get by running my material....the jelly errl is some serious, straight up knock out punch to the forehead.
the biggest enemy to extract flavor is heat, terps start vaporizing @ around 100F...so if were purging at 110-120 were still losing a lot of the flav and also darkens up the color a bit.
truly top quality solventless would need to be ran much like top quality dry sift imho, where screens sizes are based on the actual measurement of trich size, that way your only catching heads and letting stalks fall through/get filtered out in the work bags
