Getting Sick Of The Daily Rat Race...

My persective on this is that perhaps he is burned out and disallusioned with societies perspective of the american dream....i was there, working for big corporations, gettin degrees and certifications and anything that would get me ahead, until i hit a wall like krunch.... Depressed, jaded from corporate life I, like some on this board, decided to slow down and begin to simplify my life. got some acreage and a fixer upper house in the country, and started over. changed my perspective of what the american dream is to me and worked ondeveloping my vision of that. 7 years later, after dropping off the map, i could not feel more content. make beer, whiskey, salsa, fish and hunt, small 16k grow, have redneck friends that like doing projects, can everything, and still have plenty of time to make money....but my way this time
Krunch, this is an exciting point in your life! You may want to begin this new journey with a question... That question is who do you want to be next and what does this krunch find passion doing ( besides growing)? Places are irrelevant, state of mind is... Good luck!!!

Brookings, Oregon is beautiful and seems to be much cleaner and well kept than the towns just across the border into California. The coastal towns north of there are pretty, but the climate starts changing pretty rapidly as you go north. Crescent City has always seemed grungy as hell to me -

Nail on the head. Oregon is cheap..no sales tax and chill
The coast is economically depressed still recovering from logging. Probably the cheapest coastal state in the country

And X2 for not being allowed in Canada:biggrin:
