Yes but I just closed them so I can do 12/12, and I can't do the big light up top I put it on the walk and got the 6 cuz I had zero air flow with it.

Wow auto correct....just one more thing to love about this ipad....

I meant I put the big light on the wall* because there was no air flow when I had it on top. Got the six but I think the air flow will be better with one on the wall gone but I feel I need to make the call before I put up a screen.

Just worried I'm gonna miss it later in flower.

High of 84.0 f last night in the tent, that's only 1.5 f lower then with the back panel on.

Ok now that I'm done having that last panic attack lets move on to the improvements. I hope I wasn't to rash I tried to make quasi logical decisions.

First I removed the 8 bulb T5 I had on the back wall. It was restricting air flow plus the plants did not seem to like that much light.

I built and installed a screen to trellis the plants through.

The tent still had to much negative pressure so I picked up an ideal air fan speed controller and hooked that up as well.

I also tried to remove most, not all of the fried leaves and a good amount of the under growth to allow for better air flow.

Finally I hung one of those DIY start co2 mushy culture bags.

the best way to use a tent I've found is to get your flood tray raised up on milk crates or whatever up above the level of those vents so you can leave them open during flower.
they are your passive intakes.

you need a good sized exhaust fan to run all the lights you have in that tent. a 6" axial at least.
If you plan on expanding in the future buy an 8" fan and filter or as big as you can afford.
you can use one large system to vacuum multiple tents. the bigger the fan the quieter they are which can be important depending where you live.

I mount the scrubber and fan together and set them on the floor next to the tent. much safer than hanging them above everything and it get room that you need.

use a short piece of flex up to the top side vent opening. sucking the hot air out of the tent and blowing it thru the carbon filter.

this is a drawing I did for someone last year...

now you have room in the tent to use your lights properly and you get rid of the ventilation mess in there.

if you use netting mount it separately to each plants trellis system.
those 2 plants may behave very differently from each other in flower and it's much easier if you can rotate, or remove them from the tent to inspect and work on them.

here's a peek into my girls a day shy of 4 weeks under 860W T5

Iv got a nice big 6" sitting on a can filter as you have indicated. I like the idea of raising the flood table and using the passive vents...however doesn't that creat a light leak issue?

Looking tasty...how u like them Quantum bad boys I wanted to get one but alas to big for my current setup.

made in the shade… think about how bright it is outside at night during certain times of the year.
not perfectly black. I got pinholes in all my tents. doesn't hurt anything in my garden.

if you get the rim of your flood tray a couple inches above the vents you are good IME.

if something bright is happening right outside the vent I lean something up to block the light yet allow good airflow.

Palm on forehead..........

Anywho, been thinking about improving the screen one last time. Anyone think it would be to traumatic or stressful for the plants if I un-screened then re-screened them?

I could always just improve the one that's in there now and do a better job with the screen on the next round.

Question:
I am new to SCROGing, now that I am a week into flower do I stop training through the trellis and just let them rock? Or do I top and train further?

don't top anymore. try to fill screen as much as possible by weaving until stretch stops.
they will have 6 weeks or so to grow up.

Flowers...yay =)

Flowers...yay =)

A solid week in 12/12 and I'm digging what I'm seeing. Their color seems to be returning and I'm seeing flowers :peacock::woohoo::dance013:

So happy things seem to be dialed in for bloom. Oh they were thirsty and hungry as well today. I fed them the full line of biobizz plus a touch of guano solution, some full power, and a dash of Epsom salt.

I'd lay off that epson and if you add anything to the full biobizz I'd make it 5 ml /gal of cal mag. they are still too yellow. they are crying for N. I don't know what kind of guano you are adding but now is the time for the veg guano, flowering guano after the stretch.

truing looks nice!

Hey Chunkypigs I hope all is well with you,

:tiphat: Right on they were both topped prior to the screen going on. Cool Iv been training it to the trellis wherever and whenever possible.
