plants look awesome..
how often have you been top dressing with the chicken shit? is it pellitized or more powdered? stutz man? how much have you been using? how late are you going to top dress with it?

thanks!

I use E.B Stone Chicken Manure. I have been giving them chicken crap every couple weeks since the start. I dont think I will be doing any more chicken since I am starting to give them more bat guano this month, it keeps the soil active and they love good shit

I got 50lb bag Earth Juice Primal Harvest 0-8-1 but I also have a bag of Earth Juice Volcano Bat 0-12-1 so it should work too.
All this damn SHIT is expensive! lol

Looking good and frosty, when you guys top dress do you just sprinkle it around the base of the plant or do you actually work it into the topsoil?

I haven been using earth juice rainbow mix bloom. letting it brew for 24-48 hours like a tea before application hopefully to encourage microbiology. It mostly gets trapped on the surface though when I water so I wonder if there is a better method or product for bloom

yeah I just feel like the roots arent penetrating into the cakey layer it creates very well. Though I do see new root growth near the surface. I'm not sure how I feel about the stuff yet. I have been kind of eye balling but I would say a cup per 5 gallons of soil once every 10 days top dress with EWC I have on hand in between. Not really scientific sorry they still seem to be hungry though

I sprinkle it on top and water it in. I dont like breaking up the top layer because it has negative impacts on the soil food web.
I do about 3 cups per site during bloom

Cool, i heard of people actually scraping it into the topsoil id think that would disrupt the roots that are near the base of the plant

Dude you only water every 3 days? Thats nuts. Do those beds just retain moisture like a mofo. Im in smartpots so they dry out quick but anything under 20 gals per day and I see the effects. 40 gallons everyday is my norm. Plants look nice by the way. Sell some of them logs and open the sun up in there next year!

the amount of trees I would have to cut to make a difference would be nuts. I try to work with the land and not against it. These trees are way older than me and I respect the earth for what it gives me, I cut any dead trees I see but thats about it, :ying:

so I fucked up this year and I decided to use lava rock rather than perlite so its not the consistency I would like. I would rather have a more Roots Organic type mix.
Back in May I bought a lot of coco and mixed it in the top layer with a huge load of mushroom compost made from grape peels and chicken manure. It helped but still not what I wanted. Next year I will be adding a lot of perlite to the soil.. I learn so much every year its crazy lol

The amount of trees I cut down for my spot was nuts (a D9 dozer does work.) But it was that or grow in the shade.

I'm also a put em where you have sun versus cut trees to make sun guy... The trees were there first and will be after were done growing
