Upper Plot

Upper Plot

This is my secondary, bonus plot. It is too exposed to have sunk the money I did on the main plot.
Basically, its fifteen, 30 gallon holes dug in the sand, and filled with amended soil in the bottom third. Some plants did not stretch enough to reach the bottom, so I am top dressing them with Vermi Fire.
7 of 15 holes are Headband, 3 Blue Dragon, 1 GDP, 1 OGHC, 1 GG#4, and a couple mixed holes.
The Headband is looking very nice, and should pull 75% of the weight here.

Arm,
What are you using for pest prevention? i've tried so many things and still get attacked by mites, but only mid flower for some reason. I get frustrated and trash them all but i they are just extras i have no room for anyways so they take to the yard. Still it would be nice to finish them off pest free.

Killer work by the way, just finished building out my new spot and can't wait to start up again.

Whats your overall opinion on the booster?

just finished my first run with Jacks+CalNit and am quite pleased. I also gave em an MKP boost in week 5, but other than that just the standard Jacks + Calnit.

I keep everything immune in my nursery with Avid/E20 once a month, or before they go into flower. Keep filters on your intakes, and good housekeeping.

Overall I am pleased, but will likely not use it straight. The lack of Ca may be the explanation for low weight, despite being swollen. I will likely alternate with the standard Jack's + Cal Nit.

Vert Update!

Vert Update!

Both octagons are loaded! I still need to install netting on the two horiz lights of Tahoe, but that will be done in the am.
I decided on using 45 degree elbows to make the screens more stable and uniform. The short sides between the screens will allow me access to the plants against the wall. After stretch finishes, I will add more netting there, and fill it with branches.

Good to hear. This is exactly what my original intentions were with it, and what is recommended from JR Peters.

I was originally going to straight alternate with separate rezzes but I ended up just alternating mixing it in the bulk reservoir. Seems to be working just fine for all stages of flower. I keep my veg res separate and have been adding just Jack's + CalNit and no pH adjuster. :dance013:

I'm still a fan of horizontal:moon: Cant wait to see what that OGheese and Tahoe are gonna do. I've heard the Tahoe is sick.....don't know too much about the OGheese but the plants look super lush. Tahoe is so stringy I hope you can get it to yield.

I love Jacks+CalNit! i usually drop the CalNit at week 5 and bring in either Hydroplex or Terpinator, works really well

I will definitely be doing Glue vert the first chance I get. My other room is 18/24 Glue, so I will have enough inventory for a minute. My Tahoe cut is one of my top 5 cuts, and I have been out of it for too long.
I will be taking cuts to reload Bravo in the next week or so, and will make sure I have some cuts for vert next round.
Edit: They vegged for the last 4 weeks in their 2 gal pots, under T5s. They were flipped to 12/12 Monday.

The Tahoe may appear to be lanky, but the last time I ran her vert, the buds were as big as one liter bottles...
I am looking forward to the side by side this run will provide. All the cuts were rooted at the same time. They got the same veg time, and the only thing different between the two is I topped the horizontal plants to form four main branches to better fill the screen.
I anticipate 4-6 oz per plant in flat, with 6-8 in vert...

Arm,
I was wondering how your yeilds compared scrog vs. vert.I'm doing another vert round with 1k over 600, with a set of plants on the floor and another on a shelf I an not sure how to deal with run off. I read somewhere that if you use drip clean you don't need runoff. I'm using jacks+ Cal nit. Any insight would be awesome. Glad to see your still crushing it, your an inspiration to me

I don't have valid vert vs horiz data yet. I got as much as 1.2 GPW at the last site. There are 2 horizontal lights of each strain, and one stack of 600s to compare against.
Is there a reason you are running a second level of plants vs trees? Too many "moving parts" for my liking. When I get the green light to completely conVert, I will be doing 2# trees in an XO pattern.

nice..... how long are you vegging for on average? also are you topping your vert plants?

on my current grow i'm running gg4 and stardawg......... i'm topping for 4-6 main tops...... with 4-6 veg......... hoping i can hit atleast 4 oz per plant.....

feeding 1.2 -1.3 ec has these plants growing about a inch per day... :) low feeds ftw.....
