hey Piff, This is where there are some serious loose ends for me.. My understanding is that there were two individuals that escaped to the netherlands; Dave (who worked for arjan starting the original GH Seeds) and JJ that started a nute company which was big at the time. Find it hard to believe that both of these dudes had access to parent lines of chem/og/etc. yet nothing was ever released or heard of in Holland until it came way later from the US?

You can google the names mentioned in the bunker story and lots of news articles from the time come up to collaborate so for sure that part of the story is true.

Funniest thing about the whole story is it sounds like it only came up when Adam made comment about Dave possibly being a bit of a narc back in the day on an earlier episode and Dave contacted him to clear his name and dropped this story at same time.

You can just use Google. parts of Dave's story is legit. LA times articles from the 90s and everything on the Frank Gegax underground bust that was really 3 underground locations spread out between Cali and Arizona...Who really knows...all I know is that I love OG Kush !!

There is a member on IC who has discussed a couple of the A-dam people stopping by for a visit - distracting him and then one person sneaking in to the veg area and sneaking cuts off what was a highly restricted plant at the time. Guess it wasn't known until looking at the mom later and seeing the branches missing...

So I'd have to say that someone sneaking something to A-dam is also plausible...fwiw.

That podcast was great! so the summary that I took from it was the 3 way hybrid of Hashplant, Thai and Afghan called Kryptonite was exported widely thru the US and it occasionally selfed itself. the bag seeds from this probably produced the chems, OG's, TK and so on.

I liked his comment on the high of the OG/Chem family being so much shorter than other strains as being the result of never having a dad in the line so it was missing the male genetics. he was talking about how the family that 3 way cross produced being the grail of 20% + THC genetics and I'm wondering if hermed selfed bag seed is the real "best breeder" out there.

It's cool that the story is coming out with more details and real names attached.
It all seemed pretty believable besides the who really named it OG first stories.

To be completely honest...Dave struck me as very similar to a certain backyard grower around here...once ya know the type, you know what to look out for.

For example...I highly doubt Dave was the Master Grower at Todd McCormick & Peter McWilliams Marijuana Mansion...prolly, at best, just a water boy. I'll eat my hat if Dave is telling the truth.

Thats exactly right, the greatest lies always sit on a real fact foundation, and the people who make great lies often build it around a manipulated part of reality.

Liying this way is technical and often comes out of intelligent people, but spoting those liars is a art and Nspecta is a great Artist as we can see

You ever tried the Ghost OG cut?

It can put you on the edge of your seat...it's a pretty intense rush. Gives some people anxiety.

The classic OG high was more sativa dominant than indica...that has changed in time as people have taken hold of the notion that OG is supposed to be a kush type plant vs a plant that was just called kush. So many "OG" plants now with the completely wrong effect - even if they taste and smell similar.

Still haven't listened to the show but from what I have gathered it seems there are bits of truth sprinkled into dave's story. Orgnkid confirmed that the crew of people Dave mentioned is who he got the OG kush from.... so at least that part is true. we know ghost and a few other came directly from the "real OG Kush" that orgnkid selfed.
