Bloom Boosters and 6/9

Liquid Kool Bloom is NOT a bud booster the sole purpose of liquid is a stress reducer to enable your plants to create more bud sights stress free. You can actually use the liquid through all stages it is not a boost. PEACE!

Come on man:biggrin: Look at the bottle 0-10-10 aaah 10-10 is pk and adding 10-10 in flower to the base is a BOOST. It may sell more by calling it a stress reducer and a bud site maker but it is what it is.- a boost of pk in flower.

While in the hydro store a few days ago a worker told me that a GH rep had told him that their very popular Koolbloom liquid contains NOTHING more than watered down Maxibloom powder. No misprint or misunderstanding, not made from Koolbloom powder or other mixes but from straight Maxibloom powder and water.

That's total BS. You should know better. But quoting RezRat? C'mon, the only thing that guy knows is how to rip people off and snitch people out.
Anyway, the best bloom booster I have tried is Bloombastic, by far. Doubles the amount of extract from the fat trichomes it produces. Tremendous resin production. Use only a small bit-extremely concentrated. By the way, if you're using Maxibloom, that is a bloom booster, but it also stimulates root growth and is a good all around one part.
I don't use Bloombastic because it is necessary, I use it because I like it.

Love the discussion here guys.

stihgnobevoli made a great point by upping the bloom.

I will have to check out bloombastic

One comment I will make - I bought maxibloom powder because it is 2.2 lbs and will last for years. - how long do those stay good for? hm...(serious, idk)

A nice thing about a concentrated bloom booster is that it will last a long time while giving that "boost". Both are great methods....

Just checked out the 325 ML bottle of bloombastic by Atami - says all you need is like 0.5 ML. Pretty interesting, it's pricey but looks like a good booster...

EDIT - Retrogrow at what weeks do you use boosters at if you do use them?

When do you use bloombastic? Im not overly worried about resin production with this strain and im also not gonna be making any extracts with this crop. Im more interested in something that someone actually has experience using that made a noticeable difference in weight...if there is such a thing. Ive been using liquid kb at low doses since day 1 of flower and there are budsites popping up all over the place. Im on day 8. I honestly believe not much more is needed on top of the 6/9 but I always like to experiment with 1 plant along the way.

I just looked it up and it does look like some gangster shit. Think im gonna order a small bottle

That's how it works:
A) recommendation on here
B) read the hype from the makers promotion
C) check out the cool graphics on the bottle
D) fork over your cash
E) imagine some gains in your plants because that's what you expect and what you paid for.
F) Keep your eyes peeled for the next great thing to add

Lol man you're so fuckin right too. I should know better by now. The thing ive learned the most is...out of all the shit on the market, nothing pays off more than a well dialed environment

I'm just as bad, I try very hard to resist, it's hard, it's very hard.
Environment, like you say, is the way to gain big. The biggest gain you can get after the max light and air movement, RH etc are dialed in is with the addition of CO2. On a 1-10 scale CO2 can add a couple points- all these additives can add are improvements in the range of 001-.01-.1s if that. The way things are with me I'll never have a dialed in envoirnment or CO2 so these frikken additives hold a big appeal for me.
Right now I'm impressed with Triacontanol from MBFerts. Using it in a foliar in veg I can see results in 24-48 hours. I like instant gratification. Check it out man, it comes in a small ziplock and has no cool graphics though:biggrin:

I just started co2...expensive to keep up with it but I do see major benefits so its the only reason I keep going with it. I use about 20 pounds of co2 a week and its like 20 bucks a refill...I have a 10lb tank...so u can do the math.

  1. Snow Storm Ultra 1Gallon $98.95 MSRP Secret Ingredients: Triacontanol
not to be irrelevant to the thread but that website is amazing.

THINGS YOU MUST KNOW ABOUT HYDRO-STORE NUTRIENTS

Plant growth hormones are the secret ingredients behind Canna® Boost Accelerator®, Snow Storm Ultra®, clone gels, clone solutions, and any rooting solution that works very well, like Roots Excelerator®.

Believe none of their bullshit, hype, or advertisement regarding any other ingredient in these products. The main ingredient, whether it's quick rooting, large root mass, quick plant growth, large flowers, plant height restrictors, IT'S ALL HORMONES...

We decided to combine them all together and offer you 1 great product, at a wholesale rock bottom price. You can find our version, MB Hormone-Vitamin Booster contains Iba, Bap-6, Triacontanol, Fulvic Acid, B1, B2, B3, B6, B9, and B12 Vitamins.

MB Hormone-Vitamin Boosterr is = $50 for a 4Liter bottle.
Compared to: Canna® Boost Accelerator® = $500 for a 5Liter bottle.

Plus Canna® makes you buy Rhizotonic® to get IBA. That’s another $300, and they don't have all these B-Vitamins, just a couple, so you would have to buy a $200 gallon of Superthrive® to get all these B-Vitamins as well.

That's a HUGE DIFFERENCE! $50 for a 4 liter bottle of ours that you can use every day.
Or
(3) 4-5 Liter Bottles for a $1000 of their products. That you still use almost every day!

Welcome to the revolution! Where we can save you up to 75% off your daily nutrient bill!

There are many companies selling plant nutrients today. You can easily spot the higher quality brands simply by their cost, but did you know you can make these same formulas at home, or in the greenhouse, FOR WAY LESS???

Canna®, House and Gardens®, Advance nutrients®, Dutch Masters®, and Botanicare®,use these ingredients to make their high quality plant nutrients and additives. Please don’t believe any of their bullshit (hype) when they tell you they use special ingredients, or that they developed these ingredients. These are the same ingredients, bought from the same companies, that farmers, colleges and commercial greenhouses have been using for many years.
To name a few of these companies supplying these ingredients: Yara®, AkzoNobel® Dissolvine®, Haifa®, Kelpak®, Jh Biotech® etc.

It’s the hydro-store, and the nutrient companies, job to hype their products and stick pretty pictures on their bottles, so you are willing to spend the premium dollars on their products. It's nothing more than a few dollars of chemicals and water, and a lot of advertisement (HYPE). Do you think they want you to know that you could make your own formulas for $10 max, compared to the same product their charging $100+ for?

Save your money, and buy the ingredients to make your own formulas, or buy our high performance nutrients and additives. These are the same products you will find at the hydro store, except we combined several products, and then knocked 50-75% off their prices.

  • Manufacturer: Medical Botanics"

A note from their website regarding pk boosting

"The trick with this product is to boost the PK to ignite early bud growth, and then move over to LATE PK BOOSTER to help swell or make the pre-flowers turn into HUGE BUDS"

"you will be the best judge as to when you should STOP using Early Pk Booster and START using Late PK Booster when you see the pre-flower stage has STOPPED and the buds START to grow or SWELL."

Great website and info.

Seal that room up to minimize the co2 consumption. Venting in any way will extract co2 levels faster than your plants will consume. Cost effective co2 supplementation would be a co2 burner. Changing and refilling propane tanks is a lot easier than co2 gas. If u wanna go super badass you can hard line natural gas.
Coming from a guy that's been using a dialed environment, I've used most of the more expensive nutrient lines and additives and I can honestly admit they play little factor. Switching to 6/9 and having awesome results with that alone I am really convinced that basic nutrition gets the complet job done. My yields and quality have remained the same if not better and I believe I now am using the appropriate ratios that coco needs. All other additives and such are just additional variables that u do not need to factor when things can be dialed with minimal.

I would add that anything with npk would just potentially throw off your ratios causing cec problems. If desired though set your base nutes to 1.0 ec then add .2 ec of your bloom booster.
this is usually safe to do without throwing nute ratios to far out of balance.

My base nutes at 6/9 using ro water come out to like 1.3 ec. So u want me to dilute my 6/9? Dont think ill be doing that. Im at like 1.4 - 1.5 ec right now and my plants are in heaven.

I don't want you to do anything. Just sharing my experiences with you. If u are having success then great. I was merely stating that it can be done at the levels I suggested to the tune of 1.4gpw. gl

They are in heaven because they use the same amount if you feed at 1.2 or 1.5. You flush out the unused excess each feed. The reason to drop the ec would then be to save $ on the nutes. They can only use what they can and the rest goes down the drain. But I do the same thing, they get the 6/9 and that's what they get. Good thing 6/9 and my well water reads 1.1-1.2ec:biggrin:

You are lucky to have great water, must be next to 0 ec. Mine comes out at 1ec haha that's 100% of the volume I use for feed lol.
