The bad news for GN is that recently the PI was forced to seek military assistance from the US to help ward off China. The PI knows they would be crushed by China if the sea skirmishes over borders turned into a full on war and so the only card they had to play was to hold Uncle Sam's hand and with that will come US bases in the PI again etc etc and more pressure from above to the officials handling GN's case to speed up the extradition to the country who started Cannabis prohibition and is now, state by state, gradually legalizing cannabis!..crazy isn't it.

I doubt the PI government will roll over a play fetch for the USA they worked to hard at distancing themselves from our grasp after we practically ran the place as a base for our troops and ships .we will not fight for them against china and they know that .they have passed harsher laws the last 6 months dealing with drugs thanks mostly to the giant meth problems they are having. during one of these court hearing the court will order gypsys put on a plane but that plane will be for England ,that's all they can do legally under international law .so hang on old friend you will be free again at some point the way the legal extradition laws read you have to be sent to your country of citizenship since you broke no PI laws and have broke no laws in England which is pissing off the dea that they can not just wisk you away without your due process and with due process they loss in the end and they know it its just petty harashment they are pulling and they will lose in the end

Wow how horrible. Hopefully justice will be eventually carried out, I have never met gypsy but obviously he has made a large impact on the lives of many members here. It is terrible to think of the wasted effort and money to imprison a person for a victimless crime. Shame to all involved

I was in Manila once when there was an anti-american rally on Roxas Blvd,theres always been a few american "contractors" floating around down south in the troubled islamic areas,theres a small military presence of "advisors" in zamboanga who float around sulu,jolo etc,you see them relaxing in Lantaka Hotel at the bar sometimes.
