It's my hope Cali figures it out soon , under 1262 I probably would have been able to finally get a legitimate license to do what I do best...

you dont need a license to troll icmag

seriously though, 1262 was hard to read, i'm still not sure how exactly they wanted to regulate our side of the industry. Seemed like a lot of it was attacking doctors. I've heard so many cops talk about how "quack doctors" will prescribe weed to anyone for anything, like it's a bad thing... most LEO are oblivious to the all the conditions, both mental and physical, that cannabis can be used to treat

It seemed to me like they wanted to make it so you paid a license fee and submitted for local approval , and they were leaving regulation up to local municipalities

WOW BYF. When I grow up I want to have trees like THOSE! Could you give some insight into your strategy? How much soil in those mounds? What did you do to prepare those mounds? Do you feed the soil throughout the season? I know you foliar spray pretty religiously. Did you stick with the AEA line up? How often do you spray and whats the seasonal schedule look like?

Sorry if thats too many questions or if theyre too forward. I just live to learn and it seems you have a good amount of knowledge.

Much respect to all the big growers in here. Straight killin it!

Thanks , those are all easy questions to answer.

First I improved the native soil, you could drive a bamboo pole about 4' in to the ground that most of my patches are built on, then I came in and built mounds that are about 10x10x2

I root drench once a month with a fire hose with similar stuff I foliar with.

Most the stuff I use is from AEA or Tainio , I have some stuff from JH biotech , ferti organic , Albion plant nutrition too.

I root drench once a month with stuff to promote soil life , foliar weekly with a big mix of things , calcium 25 twice a month , irrigate according to plant size and temperature and humidity , harvest as late as I can without exposing my stuff to freezing too many times.

Wow. I cant drive a bamboo pole 4cm into my native soil. Sounds like you've worked your ass off preparing those patches. Thanks for the insight. Kick ass man!

This is why cali needs to legalize it. If we fall asleep at the wheel, then we fail. California is a battle ground for cannabis, make no mistake about it.

hey guys, been a good year so far don't ya think. been really fun running a bunch of seeds and ohh soo relaxing having everything on drip. more time to do fun stuff and side projects. couldn't be much happier with the results of mixing up the soil ourselves and the simple living organic soil paradigm. here's a few pictures!

from tonight, joseph og x grape stomper. hard to get them in frame lol! took clones off both of them and they rooted real quick, actually 36/40 rooted in a weekish, soaked the cubes in aloe vera, little bit of ful-power and agsil and only left the dome on 10% of the time or so. perked up a day after planting woohoo, i've had some frustration with it in the past; cloning.

i'm really diggin' this ones trunk, it has been very enjoyable observing all the uniqueness of new plants, so fun. this is from a Grand Daddy Purple, the second of two. it's quite stout, you can see it on the right in this next picture~

cool to see the plants that get wider than tall sometimes. Love the node spacing on this one, didn't hardly require any cleaning up on the inside compared to some others which were a nightmare! ahhh, lol. That's the first of the two GDP's.

can we talk about boron and it's effect when used at the onset of flowers i feel like it was this thread where maybe byf and milky discussed something like this? i could be completely off my rocker, though... when i search the boards all i find is this https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?threadid=42784 and threads on deficiencies... from everything i understand boron is boron is boron... at least to the extent that boron in the form of "20 mule team washing powder" is 100% natural sodium tetraborate.

when i read about folks using the albion boron dry for foliar i looked at their site and noticed that their product is the same 100% natural sodium tetraborate as that "stupid washing powder shit at grandma's"... i'd like a real discussion if those in the know care to share... the linked thread is full of back and forth pseudo-science weed wizards and people that shut down at the notion "detergent" could possibly be considered useful and efficient.

i ask because i could never do anything but play phone tag with chico's albion rep and everywhere from ag mart to kinney's was puzled as to what the fuck i was inquiring about any time i asked about albion, biolink's boron liquid, blooming boron, etc... it's as if these products exist only to be had and sold online... i mixed up some borax foliar and beat up a rootbound 5 gallon smartie i had on stand by in case of emergency.... didn't seem to hurt it, but i'm really more interested to understand what mechanism is triggered by a hot dose of boron in early bud set, if any

i do some crazy foliar schedules, but i wouldn't change it up on everyone all of a sudden, but i'd sacrifice a girl or two to see for myself if it works for me at least.... so, discuss amongst yourselves and learn me something i don't know...
small

all is well in my nooks and crannies and here is a pic from 2 days ago of a bubba i'm hot for... not big by some's view point at all, but for me it's ridiculously large by my bubba standards... anyway, happy farming!

Boron is ancillary and unavailable if everything else isn't also dialed in .. Get your soil right first then worry about turbo charging growth.
