Rdwc Scrog Tub v2.0 1800Gph

Very nice man!
2 things to note on big container Dwc:
1. Be sure to flush clean water through it ever 2 wks or so. Salt builds up in the giant root masses.
2. They grow tall. Plan accordingly.

We have roots. Not many but there coming. it doesn't help i also just topped them all.
Every time i transfer a clone from the aero cloner over to a net pot with hydroton they always seem to stall for a whole week and then you'll see a couple 1" roots popping out. then a week after that it seem to be game on. i wish it wasn't so stressful on them. I think im gonna try starting them in a 4" rockwool cube next time and do all the topping and 4 way mainlining and then drop em in the net pot and rockin roll. the roots really puddle up on the bottom of them rockwool cubes, there like a mat of carpet when ya turn em over. When ya drop one in the net pot you get way more tap roots going down to the root ball that will eventually fill the dwc bucket. my friend did this and i was really amazed with the amount of roots came out of his netpots. i normally just get 10-15 cord like roots going into a rootball, he gets like 30-40. im jelly lol

I've experimented with using rockwool vs straight to soil and/or hydroton........WITHOUT rockwool is MUCH better.

Just leave your clones in the cloner for another week so the root systems are long (like 12") add a small amount of nutes too. In my cc system, I'll drill a hole about the size of a nickel in the net pot and then thread the clones roots through that hole before dropping them in the veg system. ;)

BTW- in one of heaths grows, he shows the importance of water level being an inch ABOVE the bottom of the net pot for LESS cord roots.

^ cool macdiesel know what ya sayin with "cord" roots! (chunky wooden roots yea!?) sometimes id let the water go down to maybe 6-8"+, cus the spray from the airstone must reach near a foot! so my lazy ass thought that will do :D.Tbh my roots never looked as good as "others" and thats why ;) NC1...

Thanks for the advice. Ive been keeping the water level about a 1/2 inch inside the net pot right now and this is the results. the clones in the aero cloner had 5-6" roots. i set a handfull of hydroton on the bottom and placed the clone in and back filled the rest.

Im going to increase the water level up a inch and see if that helps lateral rooting. next round im trying the longer root thing in the cloner and see if that helps

i also been thinking maybe use a veg a system, ebb and flow like Snype has got. his roots are bomb. maybe add some waterfarm drip rings i dunno.

These are from my last round right befor they went in flower. i did not have my float valve installed then either so the level did fluctuate sometimes. we will have to see what they look like then im done.

Yes Sir, i do chill my res, i run 70 degrees when rooting then kick it down to 68 a week later

In flower i run it a little lower 65-67. i use to use no chiller but the growth rates were horrible vut i still got nice healthy roots. my water temps were like 78 before i made my chiller but the Orca bennies worked wonders and never got root rot.

Yea i built my own. it chills 3 systems all independently. 2x 60g systems and 1x 20g system. ill have to get a picture of it for ya. I use coolcoils that sit in each res pumping 60 degree water threw them.

Orca by plant success. premium liquid myco w/ beneficial bacteria

Here is a update. i dont know how long its been but at least 20 days. im really disappointing on how they took a whole 8 days just to recover from the transition from the clone box to the hydroton pots. Ive just picked up some hormex b vitamin today and added it but its a little late. i was really hoping to have to screen 70% filled in 30 days from the cloner but no i see it taking 6 weeks which really messes up my every 30 perpetual harvest. if the b vitamin dont help speed this process up im gonna have to start em earlier. i toped each clone 3 times and super cropped to promote even growth cause some of my nodes are not symmetrical. so there all mainlined with 4 tops and LST the remainder of the grow. the toping was done in stages first top is done on transplant. the next 2 are after they root and grow there 2 new shoots. then done. maybe its to much stress. ill know on the next round.

There Lookin' Superb DrTone ...Those built in net pots are a joy to see they offer so much more stability and i Bet you could Tie the Stem to them as well if need ever was
d me lol i tried Tying mine up on my Homemade Set up but the baskets were that Small
the Whole thing would lift nearly Completely out if the Plant decided to lean!

Well i added 100ml of Hormex B vitamin to the system and it fried my roots. they went from nice crisp white to tan colored over night and were droopy the next day, i misted them down and they were still droopy the next day after that too. the roots were frail and brittle and fell off easily when touched. ive chopped all the roots off and gave them all a h2o2 bath to clean them up. i shop vacuumed the system and cleaned up with some h202 and refilled with rodi water 1" Below the net pot. ive also added 100ml of Orca beneficial bacteria and 100 ppm of nutrients GH g\m\b. my water temps were stable too at 67.8. there drooping right now from the stress. i cant belive this was from adding the hormex. i wish i would of took some pics but its nothing to show off
