Hey Chimera, I'm glad to see a good Canadian breeder doing the right thing, and not selling out to the highest bidder. 1.5 million is a lot, and would be next to impossible for most to turn down. I think that speaks volumes about your personality and willingness to do the right thing for the patients, not your pocketbook. Finding a team of like minded individuals in this burgeoning industry won't be easy though, especially since the "Greed Rash" is so contagious.

You might eventually have to bite the bullet if you want to participate in the MMPR. All approved LP's so far are corporations, no sole proprietorships or co-ops in sight. This means the corp you work for will most definitely be profit driven despite your modus operandi.

The thought of being forced to grow a certain way or with certain products to save costs, only takes away from the joy of cultivation. So, for me, unless I can run a small scale grow without all the costly regulations in place, I'll just stick to my home garden for now. I predict legalization will open up the gates for us all to participate in the new green industry, not just the few with no ethics and deep pockets.

Well diffusing I'm no stockmarket expert, so forgive me for misunderstanding the post. I kind of assumed that the stock options would be a bonus for joining up with the company, even though the company isn't worth squat without a license. With a license though the stock will get pumped up pretty good, making that 1.5 mill in shares well worth it. The problem with getting a license though is that you need the right people in the right positions before anything can happen. So offering these large bonuses to key personnel is a good business decision from that point of view. Look at Tweed, weren't they valued at over 90 mill before even selling a gram of product? I'm sure Chimera would have received a hefty salary on top of the stock options once production got under way. He wouldn't of worked for free, lol

So, what you're saying is that I'm completely wrong, and Chimera lol'd in this guys face because he wanted more money and that offer was an insult to him? To me it sounded like the money wasn't the issue at all, but working with a team of like minded individuals driven by the same goals.

I have no problem with people making money off Cannabis. In fact, I wish Hemp would infiltrate every industry on earth, and everyone made their living off Cannabis. If it was free for all to grow and sell then we could all get a piece of the pie. People jumping in the game now thinking they are going to take over the Cannabis World so nobody else profits but them, well that's just sad. I don't care how great you think you are. It's all for weed, and weed for all!

apologies, in reality i shouldn't have been talking for chimera at all, and sorry if it came across that way But that's pretty much how i would have reacted to that sort of offer if i was in his shoes. big cash up front as a signing bonus to show they are serious not just talking shit about being able to pick the team/run the show as I see fit. Your right, the offer is a little silly coming from a non-existent company, I totally get that.

I gave some jared bud to be tested, showed some pics and got an offer to "join the TEAM" to run a few pods, and take orders like a biatch.

^The ones who have facilities up and running, who are curing and testing their product NOW. They are also stockpiling so when they do put their name on HC "List" so they don't sell out in one day, and have to resort to selling shake and pissing people off. They are also expanding...Site1, Site2, Site3...But even crappy TWEED bud is selling like hotcakes... Oh they also have to have deep pockets so they aren't COUNTING on the $8-10/g pricing model....should they have to start competing with 3-5/g.

I understand the need to start getting the machine rolling, bringing in the dough....but it seems like signing up people...then running out is not how you build a LOYAL client base...

I don't think in the end INDOOR will be able to compete, unless greenhouse grown is just not going to work without resorting to chemicals that HC HOPEFULLY doesn't allow.

Yuppers....simply short term $$ to be made..once prices get cut in half...Yikes...

But since more of the general public are becoming "MED users" who do have disposible income I'm curious to see how it will pan out..

The "General" public hasn't caught on that it is as easy as 150-350 bucks right now to get a script and smoke legally...some have...but it is just starting to ramp up.

I see it in the stoner groups of people I know.....once one guy gets his card by simply bringing in a pill bottle for some anti-anxiety pills the Dr. prescribed for a bad back(muscle relaxant)...the rest follow suit...it is almost getting to be funny...Dr's prescribe PILLS....Potheads take PILLS to friendly doctor and get card....LOL.....

These suburbia living working stiffs minds are being blown that they can smoke in a park without the PARANOIA...worth a few hundred bills to them. It is fucking hilarious to see them fight the urge to hide the Vape when someone walks by...Let alone a stinky joint of my White widow.
