precisely

and nothing makes it on tv unless it is part of the agenda

you need to learn how to quit watching television

and maybe learn about different cultures where gay and bi-sexual people have been accepted since the beginning... so you can fill the void the television is filling.

its a lot of space but i think you can do it! i believe in you!

good luck

The gays can party like a mofo. They won't judge you for it either.

I have had some awesome times at gay bars/clubs. Straight woman go there as well.

Tons of drugs!!!!!!

Hundreds of gay guys, a few lesbians, more than enough straight woman, and 1 or 2 heterosexual guys.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see the odds there. :)

The gays make the best wingmen ever!

But another real touchy subject is the equal rights thing, like gay marriage, and raising a child especially. Talking about influencing a person... How ya feel about a child being adopted by 2 guys, or 2 girls? You think that's gonna have some influence over that child and their views or preference?

So if I were adopted by a black family i could have become black? and the civil right movements of the 60's were just a bunch off black people shoving their lifestyle down other peoples throats ? does anyone remember being taught to be strait? My best friend of over 30 yrs now is an overtly effeminate Gay Man, when I first meet this guy I used to think that "he would be aright if he would tone it down a bit"
in time I realize that he was just being himself and I was the one with the problem! My Gay mate has taught me more about being a man than anyone I know...just thought I would share that with you all ! puff puff pass Rf

lol, I only went to one gay club ever, back in '74 while in college, a friend on mine Irv suggested we take our dates (chicks) to le Jardin on W. 43rd St in NYC. It was an upscale disco with 2 floors, one in the basement & then the penthouse floor with rooftop access, the penthouse decor was white on white on white.

while upstairs Irv pulled out some real amyl nitrate, known as 'poppers' in the day. real poppers (as opposed to butyl nitrate) once inhaled make you suddenly laugh with the euphoric rush they provide, you can't help but laugh, in fact you burst out in laughter; that's not exactly good when you've been pegged as straight guys in a gay club.

bang! just like that two big guys turn and shoot us some glaring looks, but we couldn't stop laughing for the moment, these guys looked really pissed off. Irv did the best thing he could and stuck out his hand and said "Popper???" as he offered his silver bullet (a device to house an open popper w/o allowing air to decimate its potency) to the nearest guy. He reached out took the bullet & a good whiff and joined us in laughter, he passed it to his friend; of course instantly they understood it wasn't any of 'them' that we were laughing at and any supposed indiscretions were forgotten.

That wasn't a statement of my belief, I was just saying it is a touchy subject that will polarize many people in the debate. Lots of emotions get flared up when it comes to children and the environment they are raised in.

The questions were actually questions not statements of my personal views, although reading it back I can see how it came across that way.

I have no issue with gay or bi people. I've done business with many of them and find in general gay man tend to be polite and courteous, have money to spend, have lots of friends/connections, and for the most part to be a pleasure to deal with.

My other comments were regarding hanging out socially as some women I've dated have a lot of gay friends. So sitting in a group I got to hear what they talk about which is pretty much entirely just one single thing, which gets tiresome to listen to after a while. Just like it's probably tiresome for some of my non-grower friends to hang with me because I always want to talk about weed. But in other ways gay men can be great to talk to or get advice from because due to their femininity, many tend to have insight from both a male perspective as well as a female perspective.

Some gay pride pics from this week. For those that know what they're made of...gays are no threat. The real threat are those who on some level, just can't deal with others that are basically different then them and start blaming those that are different for the ills of the world.

My ex's brother was gay. Good guy. Really struggled with growing up in a hyper religious family and dealing with his sexuality. I'm agnostic so I told him he shouldn't worry about all that mumbo jumbo and the Christian god wasn't the source of morality, but universal principles. He thought I was going to burn in hell. Ironic.

So did my ex, but she wasn't into it as he was. All Catholics.

Made for interesting conversations after having a few drinks.

I could care less about parades celebrating who is boning who. There are parades for everything. Never cared for parades in general.

Gay parties are usually a lot more fun.

Gay Pride Parade in Tel Aviv a few days ago:

isr_Gay-Pride-Parade_6812.jpg

I was not there because I don't like big crowds and I'm straight, but I fully support gay rights, whatever consenting adults do with each other is none of my business.

A funny anecdote is that a few years ago, I was working at this crazy place, where the company gave me a room in an apartment with other workers; we were three in total, one of the room mates left and we were looking for a new guy who would fit with us; a quiet and clean person was the profile, so I asked a new dude who fitted the profile how was his room-mate situation, he said bad, so I invited him to move with us, he was happy about it. It turned out the dude was gayer than gay, even though you could not tell by how he acted; and I only found out he was gay because some of the ladies at work started to tell me stuff like: "so how are things going with (add any name here), I hear he is very good in bed" I was like WTF??? then I told the dude about the comments by the ladies at work, and he started laughing and explained that by now they probably think I'm gay too since I invited him to live with us! this guy had some crazy ass stories about his life, specially having been born and raised in a very infamous ultra-orthodox neighborhood in Jerusalem.

peace

Gay straight Bi...who cares....

As long as it aint kids or animals who really cares..

I do believe it is due to the wiring in our brains tho....

The only thing I ask is that everyone keeps EXCESSIVE PDA's to a minimum....

I don't suck face with my wife in a restaurant....so hopefully nobody else does...straight..gay...bi...etc.

They only reason I bring up the restaurant thing is this happened to me....and when I asked the lovely couple to stop I was told I was a BIGOT..... It had nothing to do with the fact they were gay...it was that I was trying to eat and hearing/seeing the scene COMPLETE with descriptions of what was going to happen at their Appt later was just a bit much...

The look on their faces when I told them my sister was GAY and even SHE doesnt fornicate in public was priceless tho...

Time and a place for everything...IMHO... At the club...go to town....while I'm eating my pasta....not so much.

^^^I agree 100%...Be gay If you want, But Im getting sick of the media shoving it down our throats everytime I read/see the news. IMO gays are to sensitive, and they're very spoiled by society. I wonder how it will be If someone organized a straight parade lol..Sign me up:)
OP

Oli, Love ya, it's been years, - and I believe wholeheartedly that PDA's between Men are beyond disgusting. but I beg to differ on THIS>

Although news sites like huffington press are ridiculous about Gay this, gay that. Over the top, for sure.

IMO, Straights can be too sensitive in equal percentages.>!

If gays were "Spoiled by society," well, they've been the subject of rampant abuse, as well as physical violence forever. And this has not changed.
Worked in Picture Frame Shops, travel agencies, and Underground Clubs. All of which were beyond diverse. so, I am a bit biased.

As for the Straight parade, any holiday is "That."

My life in San Francisco of over 15 years was enriched by my friendships, including those with people who chose alternative lifestyles.
