my idea is to scare them away somehow. maybe a dog. I would get a nice electric fully auto $300 airsoft gun <-- that was horribly typed....

they've learned to enjoy your company and probably smell something. Now by habit they follow you with no fear. I would change that and they would never do it again...eventually.

u could also leave food on the ground ONLY when your inside so they eat instead of follow. but that would cause more cats to come? idk. that sucks though.

Heres the GD top, the top of the bamboo is 7 feet above the soil surface and 10 feet above the GH floor:

Then I went down to smoke a J and found this guy, he's thinking about starting a riot so I smoked with him and calmed his nerves:

Pretty sure that shooting at cats with an airsoft gun is animal cruelty in most countries.

It may just do that

The sativa influence is definitely there, and definitely dominant, if not complete. While I will probably not be saving this particular plant in clone form much past this grow, the clone in the tent is flowering now. I will wait to post flower pictures of the greenhouse plant, as the other one is scrawny and packed into a tent full of hazes that I am just trying to bang some seeds out of, not cultivate for healthy plants. At the end of the year I will, with luck, have GD x Ace Purple Haze and GD x Ace Malawi, two gene pools that I think will add and not detract from a potential historical pure sativa. I may also try to get some blueberry seed this year, a grow with blueberry males and females alongside females from other strains, so there is a potential Blue-Dreamish cross, GD x Blueberry, in the works as well.

I would like to pass clones on to interested growers.

And this, friends, is by far the biggest problem that this greenhouse is facing. The plastic cover is continuously holed by the resident herd of cats, who claw their way up whenever I am inside. If I let them in, they cause havoc and make the experience of being in here terrible, LITERALLY herding cats. If I don't let them in, they invariably run up the sides with their claws. This has, over time, caused the double layer of plastic, which inflates for insulation, to deflate and grow mold. Mites suck, but at least they don't fuck up the structure of the greenhouse. Suggestions? Tried electric fence and making an easier way for them to get up without clawing, but they seem to like running up with their claws. So irritating.

Whenever they climb up take a hose with a nozzle attached that sprays vinegar right to 'em. They learn quickly.

When we had too many 'barn cats',,,,,, a 22LR was the answer.... although probably not the one you were after. lol

Well, I left for a week and she gained some size, unfortunately it is as difficult to manage her growth as it was easy to manage her sister. She is growing where she wants to grow, in the path of the heater. I'll figure it out. For now she is big, leafy, and odorous. Also, this plant seems to have a miracle resistance to spider mites, which I just can't seem to get under control in the greenhouse. Bug bombs worked for a time but now a resistant population is growing. My hope is that they will have plenty of other plants to attack before they are forced to chew on the GD.

In the flowering tent, the clone is now in full flower, and I will say that the bud structure is definitely full on sativa, but in a great way, not too airy and not too slow in maturation. There are visible seeds developing in her calyxes, I hope to harvest around 50-100 Ace Purple Haze x GD-72 seeds. The aroma of the flowering specimen is lemony heaven, I really like it. Mites are attacking the flower chamber as well, and they have nearly stripped the leaves of some other strains but there is not a blemish on the GD. That alone is keeper genetic material for me. Hopefully I will figure out how to flower a Malawi male that I have in the greenhouse without fully pollenating the crop, and get a branch of seeds from GD-72 x Ace Malawi. That will be a winner combo for sure.

note the obvious mite/insect damage to the leaves of the bean plants in the photo, nothing seems to want to chew the GD as I said

Love your style man. Those old genetics will have a great cannabanoid profile and nothing better suited to that than organics.

That goddamn thing hasn't even contemplated flowering yet. Holy crapshit Batman! Keep rockin it man!

I know its just monstrous. Its got lower branches that are acting more like vines, sort of flopping/creeping/dangling over the edges of the trough in the back. The only part I don't know about is the top, I havent had time to do much more to it and it needs some training. But its sure getting jungly in there. Not much room to walk around.
