Newbie Summer Bud Contest "miami bagseed"

Dank Assassin here, just found this really cool contest and decided to enter. Had a lemon d x sour kosher clone I could have entered. But thought the Miami bagseed would be cooler. I obtained this bagseed out of an ounce of loud as we call It. Our dank or top shelf. Only got one seed out of an ounce and this is it. Is it a male or female have no clue. But betting it hermied and flowered it self, so going with a fem. We are going with a fun grow here. When I told my guy I got a seed he was dump founded. Said it came from cali and he never gets seeds. This will be an all organic grow. She is about 2weeks from seed and toped. Now in 1/2 gallon veg container.A weeks from now going in to 3 gallon smart pot, veg for 1 week in 3 gal then flower. Trying to make Sept deadline for cure and smoke report. Again this is for newbie summer bud contest.

This is the last bit of bud I have from where the seed came from. Very skunky smelling, and strong.

I've had an intrest in mj forever, but I have been growing for about 3yrs. I started not knowing anything. Nothing about male, female,12/12, sativa/ indica, strains etc.., all I knew was I like weed! That I see know, was all I needed. I picked it all up threw a hunger to learn and still posse it. Im official light years away from my start in this game but nowhere neer the end. I enjoy this plant and her many mysterys and so am here. I started growing with ferts and switched to organic tlo style and it fits. Hell, I'd grow a fire bag seed with as much care as an elite clone. Which brings us here: in between harvest, bought an ounce of good. Happen to find this seed in it. Started growing it, saw this contest and said what the hell. So here we go the "Miami bagseed grow"

3 Gallon Finishing pot build

3 Gallon Finishing pot build

So today I decided to build the finishing pot for the Miami bagseed. It's a 3 gallon smart pot that will be built in spikes and layers and toped with mulch. I like to build my pots up and around the size pot the transplant is vegging in. In this case a 1/2 gallon flower pot. It creates for a very easy and less shocking transplant. They go from knowing there pot size to " hey, where did this come from?!" I can always see that moment.
The first layer(2" thick) consists of: 1 part composted cow manure to 1 part perlite.
Its amended with 1/2 teaspoon Epsom salt, 1 tablespoon jobes organic flowering food 4-2-3, 1 egg shell crushed, 1 tablespoon brown rice
Mix together well and drizzle top layer with 1 cap full of fish fertilizer 5-1-1.
Now I put a 1" thick layer of universal soil mix( we will make some in a minute) to keep newly transplanted plant from touching soil to hot. Next I put 1/2 gallon pot on top of these 2 layers and get ready to back fill with universal mix.Time to build my universal soil mix.

Universal soil mix

Universal soil mix

This mix is very simple but extremely powerful. When I run a strains a few times I make adjustments, but this is the universal mix, which is a great starting point. It consists of
1/4 re-used organic soil
1/4 high quality organic bagged soil
1/4 fresh worm castings or compost
1/4 perlite
Basic amendments no need to cook again basic
4 crushed egg shells
1/4 cup brown rice
Scoop coco coir
2 tablespoons Redmond clay
1 tablespoon jobes flower food 4-2-3
Mix together well ..and it's ready:woohoo:

Next l back fill 3 gallon smart pot with the freshly made universal mix.
l stop about an 1.5" from top. Here I top dress with finely crushed egg shell, coffee, earth worm castings, jobes 4-2-3, and a drizzle of fish fertilizer 5-1-1. Then I cover with mulch. This pot one step away from being ready. Lastly, I will water with either r/o water, rain or filtered water. I now let that sit for the next week. :comfort:

Dank I am super excited to see this grow. Do you know what type of cannabis the seeds came from? Also, I love organics and natural grows. Your post/recipe brings back that natural feeling for me, like the way Cannabis is suppose to be grown using mother natures ingredients. mmmmhmmmmm........Great post man I cant wait to see this Miami Bagseed do its thing. I'll be watching this one.:woohoo:

Thanks nyurbanfarmer that's exactly how I like to grow back to basics let motherearth do her thing. I'm moving to a bigger place soon, so I'm going to turn it up a little more organic like getting local farm manure and getting a wormbin already compost.
