Drug test- the patch

Hey all,

I had to go in to take a drug test today and instead of the normal urin test I was expecting they put a patch on me instead?

Does anybody know about this and know if I'm caught or not? Specifics are below.

Last time I smoked was 6 days ago and and consisted of one bowl split between three people. The previous time I smoked was 7 days prior. To prepare for the test which I thought would be a urine test I drank 1 gallon of water the day before the test and used a detoxifier (clear flush) 3 hours before the test. I have past urine tests in the past using this method but have never had a patch put on me before.

Anybody know anything about this? I have done some internet based research but really couldn't find anything helpful.

Looks pretty easy to compromise. A good long soak in a hot tub for a start.

If the subject uses drugs while wearing the patch, a small portion of the drug and/or drug metabolite is excreted in the sweat and absorbed into the collector pad.

seems easy enough to me.

Yeah they used that or something very similar to it. I read the link you included and it states that it monitors for use while the patch is on. It doesn't say anything about it being able to detect anything from prior use. I did a fair amount of research today trying to find out what the capabilities of detection from the patch are and honestly it doesn't seem like there is much out there.

Anyway I drank another gallon of water today in the hopes that it and the combination of the cleaner and the previous water I drank cleaned me out. I bought an at home drug kit too that I am going to test myself with to see if I'm dirty now or not.

I'll let you all know how it goes.

Yeah I still have it on. If intake it off the test is considered dirty whether it is or not.

Just curious if this was a pre-employment screening, or something court ordered? No way I would wear something for 7 days in order to score a job Either way...hope it works out for ya!

Worse it's for DHS. I'm going through a bad divorce and my can't be soon enough ex wife made up a story about me getting high around our kids, which never happened. Now im in there system jumping through their hoops.

OK well I'm not stoned yet, but I'll give it a try anyway ...

Our body metabolizes drugs and excretes them, mostly through the liver & kidneys & sweat, but it comes down to urine & sweat. Plus some drug metabolites end up in the hair and perhaps skin. (and brain )


So, if you're trying to pass one of these patch tests - sweat as little as possible ?

Does this mean sitting in an air-conditioned room for 7 days, so as not to sweat, while drinking loads of water and urinating as much as possible ?

They probably made it REAL hard to remove. If there was a way to detach it and to let a friend with no drugs in their system wear it ... then to put it back on your body right before the appointment.

So then it would be helpful to know more about the adhesive they use.

I think that with a medium amount of engineering this thing can be beaten.

Hey all,

I think I'm in the clear. I bought an at home drug test and used it this morning to see if my detox had cleaned me out and the test came back negative. I guess the gallons of water I drank plus the detox fluid did its job. I'm gonna leave the patch on because I'm clean....until it comes off.

So to DHS and my can't be soon enough ex wife........

I've had my mouth swabbed for a drug test before. That's no sweat. Just gargle with listerine or a strong mouthwash before you get swabbed. Wow.. Dhs is using patches now?

there is no warning for a mouth swab. When I went in for the interview they swabbed me on the spot no warning. You cant get up and go gargle. Drug test are not done until an offer is made to you. If you think you might get an offer then you would need to gargle at home way before the interview.
