yea don't worry youll get the hang of it , your conditions and enviorment can affect curing and drying try the brown bag method it'll slow the drying down but wont make conditions for mold to grow and starts the cure off nice and slow. Curing and drying is the critical part of your grow and should be done nice and slow to keep favor up but also let the green grass smell dissipate :tiphat: youll get the hang of it . wheres the new plants ?

Actually I have 3 outdoors. I have to get my cabinet going. The wife was partial to me growing in the closet. So I can fit a couple plants in the cab I'm getting ready. Eventually, get something big enough for more. All in a gradual process. Ease it in and show her how it won't affect the household. So far so good.

My experiment cab is 30"x 23" x 11" deep . I can fit to one gallon pots in there. Going with coco again. I liked working with it. Plan on vegging the plants to about under 1.5 feet should be good. Lots of advanced training too in mind

So here's an update. I have one lamp in(23w). It's going to be stationary. It has a plastic cover over the bulb so I think the plants will be safe from touching. I'm going to have to watch that. It's Def gonna be a micro grow.

This is my first cabinet ever. It's a little ghettofied but I'm just using what I have around the house. The white fixture fits perfectly. I will have two (23w) suspended from above on wire so I can raise and lower accordingly. I'm hoping to cram 2 plants in there so I'm shooting for 162w of light at least. I want to try and get those spiral cfls in there (via holes on the side of the cabinet and have just the bulbs poke in).

I plan on putting it next to the vent as to draw in fresh air. I'm probably going to drill some large holes for air and maybe a little desk fan or pc fans to circulate the air. Wish me luck .....

Update got some more lights. Now I gotta get the right tool to make these other spiral lamps flush and only have the bulb coming through the sidewall.

then set up my exhaust system. Don't care about smell so no carbon filter. I have a plan on my exhaust layout. Planning for a port with some type of tubelar duct (minimize light leak) with a small pc fan sucking outside air in. And the expell port up top. I'll update as I go along. I have limited free time some days. Not to mention I've no prior experience in wood working and limited power tools. Just a drill, dremel and jig saw (cheapo black n Decker )

don't waste your time drilling holes to make the light go through the wall if you don't have any time unless there is a purpose for doing all that work. go ahead and grab some bases and just mount them to the side . They look like this and are 3 or 2 bucks a piece at the hardware store . They also sell light splitters that would make things easier . .even bathroom fixture that have multi sockets on them .good luck !

I'm going to check on those actually. Looks easier and faster but Im trying to save all the clearence I can. No real purpose but just to do it. I still need the hole maker drill bit or whatever it's called for my exhaust ports plus Im a wire friendly ass. Want to keep all wires outside of the cabinet. I should have it done within 7 days. I'm going to look at the local hardware even Craigslist first for anything I need. Thanks prehand also incase I do send a PM .

Either I don't have enough post or don't see it but I can't PM. But I have a question. When people talk about light leaks do they mean light leaking in as opposed to light leaking out ?

I'm going to set my light schedule close to what the sun is doing around my latitude. I want the dark period to be while it's dark out. So if "light leaks" are an issue what of my exhaust ports? I've been sealing the open corners with black tape but how will I prevent light leakin in from the exhaust ports?
