ac isnt just for the summer
its to keep the climate perfect year round.
you dont want it too cold and you dont want it too warm
most importantly its to regulate the humidity & temp(VPD)
even when the temp outside is perfect for the grow room for a couple hours out of the day the humidity is probably not ideal
you want to keep the vpd within the proper range for transpiration
Anyway... what we all really need are greenhouses

Check this standard RVK fan out. See the lip at the mouth of the fan? The ducting slips over that. There's no 'lip' on the hyper-fan. I just wondered how you'd integrate that inline with ducting/filter.

The fan body will be the right size for your duct. TBH it looks just like those Ruck Etaline fans that are already available here and have been for years.

I bet these US ones cost more, and I bet the speed controller is a naff humming job.

Ahhhh! Didn't think of that. What are those ruk ones like in comparison? Yes, the hyperfan 6" is £150 :0

I haven't used on myself so couldn't say, but the 10 inch version of the Etaline(smallest I found with a quick google) Is £239.

I just had a look, and the similar hyper is 230, so I was wrong on the price. I woulld be interested in where the hyperfan was made and where it's motor comes from. Etaline are Ruck, made in Germany. That price for a US product makes me wonder, because generally, things from the US end up costing roughly the same number of pounds here as they cost in dollars there, due to the taxes.

I'd be very interested to see some of the science behind the claims these products make. The industry is rife with snake oil.

.

always amazes me how people call snake oil with no fucking clue bout the products they're talking down
I've used them both - they both work
you can grow sunflowers in deepest darkest winter with the liquid heat

fuck the science - my own experience works for me

I've had a few glasses celebratory champers so Im bit blunter than norm, dont take it wrong way but at end of day I dont chat shit, I post sbout things I got direct experience of

Be as blunt as you like, I'm not one for beating around the bush.
I did not say they were snake oil, I said the industry is rife with it, which as a growshop owner (my apologies if I'm confusing you with someone else), you know only too well, how much bullshit do you see in the trade catalogues. Ice cream tubs of mono PK powder(monster bloom) for more than the price of a 25 kilo sack from the ag supplier, or even sachets of a few grams(bud blood) for stupid money(relative to the amount). Then there's the straight up poison, all the superbud and copycat products. What about that stupid fucking rotating thing that was supposed to make special frequencies and triple your yields. Odor Sok! Companies selling nutrients with vital elements missing so you have to buy another bottle. It's an industry that thrives on newbs/kids and muppets.
Have you grown Sunflowers outdoors in the dead of winter using the evo stuff? I'll take your word for it, but it doesn't even say what's in it on the website, so it sure as fuck isn't going near anything to do with me.

My apologies to Sunzi for hijacking the thread.

Did you order yours from the States then? I don't see how you'd put that inline with ducting as it doesn't have a flange/coupling :/
 I bought it in oz there's two places [maybe more that have them]
was up for 365 I got it for 290. the ducting slips straight over body, there made I gather by phresh, anyway there is good tests on phresh on u-tube.:tiphat: speed control is made for the unit no noise, turn it right down , running on 10 watts, in test was better than big max fan.

That's a nice setup you've got in there DD :good:

Noise is a bit of a problem indeed... I would definitely go for something silent...

Those fans look really cool... very interesting...

I'm looking for stealth, so something silent would be good. I will check those items that you mention... I'm still unsure about the money I can spend though... I need to think it properly!
Also, do you think I should go for a 8" fan to extract or is it too much?
That SMSCom 4.5-Amp Twin Fan Speed Temp Controller looks sweet ;)

You are so right my friend, I'm pretty sure that's the key point... and I need to start thinking in another way too... the quality has a price... and most of the times the cheap is actually the most expensive at the end...
:tiphat: just came across this controller , new??? operates by sensors, air movement etc.?

N

noyd666

yer thanks Harry, I have a twin controller but just found this today, lotta new stuff gets hidden away down here, I always check british and American shops out.
