well. i just went to a friends house yesterday.. and ran his closed loop.. now those things ARE AWESOME.. butttt he was using N-Butane.. and the extract was really dark. compared to the stuff i made 20 feet away in my passive system.. with canned butane.

i was tryin to tell him . he should invest in a tank of propane.. and a tank of isobutane.. and grab another empty tank.. to mix your own ratio to get the consistency and colors that you want.. but hes convinced that propane.. and isobutane.. arent even worth extracting with..

what ratios are you guys using if you mix your own gas mix?

I'm super curious about several other factors that could darken his material, I would say it's erroneous to blame the solvent.

Polarity

inside each of these parameters exist multiple places that variables can intrude.

I think there are a couple outfits out of CO running 40/40/20 N/ISO/propane.

Iirc, they use propane mostly for head pressure and chill their supply tank.
