Pure Thai Sativas

Hi amigo, sorry to hear of the difficulty in finding males in your Tuk Tuk Indonesian and now in the GN Thai. I will say that the GN Thai cut you referred to was the longest and latest flowering in two packs and produced long thin colas. It was a true full blooded sativa and very difficult to work with even in a subtropical latitude. I am growing a few plants that are a cross of this cut and Nevil's Hz Madness, and it is amazing how every plant has taken on the flowering characteristics of the HzMM father, but with the candy musk smell of the GN thai mother...

Hi, my friend. Nice to meet you.

I have had bad luck finding males. I don't understand why people buy feminised seeds

You are really accurate about the GN Thai Stick. Mine is so late flowering that simply a whole year here has not enough short days to flower she properly. Other phenotypes were quicker but I saved only the one which seemed to me the most representative.

I guess that growing and harvesting one of this plants outdoors at 36ºN is a several years project :woohoo:

Greetings :tiphat:

Heres one of my Greenhouse Thais. Gonna transplant it outdoors from the GH in 2 weeks.

On a side note does anyone know if theres a best time to spray a long flowering sativa with a high ppm CS solution? The bottle I have says 5 days prior to flowering ( i am using tiresias mist).

Here a tip for all you indoor sativa lovers , stop flowering them on 12/12 flower them on 10/14 10 light 14 dark
You plants buds will be twice as dense and the flower time will be reduced by upto four weeks , I am totally 100 present on this . 12/12 is not manipulating any thing . You want your sativa to be in full flower they need a kick up the arse or they will just keep flowering and growing wispy buds , good luck guys please pm if you do this and let me know first hand if you was impressed , I love sativas so much and would love some of you guys to trust me and give this a go , it will open up all those Thais , Swazi and them , some trippy looking plants in this thread

In my opinion pure Thai are still out there in Thailand and surrounding bordering countries , Thais don't grow to much weed now days , you get looked up for a long time , they don't sell it in markets any more , oor not open about it like they used to , exported Thai was famous in stick form , but to say sticks came from a club of astrailian importers only is not true IMO . I know a lot of old guys that live or lived all over Thailand , Thais would wrap buds on sticks it was a Thai thing not just for export . IMO Thailand is such a big place I really hope some one finds the types mentioned from the old days , LSD trait is the best in the world IMO

this is the tallest and most slow flowering pheno.

Hi purple clouds, I've learned that it's not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog. A good plant will be just as magical at 6 foot as it is at 16. Less than that & the full expression may not be reached. But there is something majestic about them when they are large.

Thanks HidingInTheHaze, some are for sure, but like just about every cultivar they take some selection. It's the clear uplifting quality of most Thais that really stands out, with the occasional psychedelic or paranoiac phenotype that earns the legend.

Thanks TB, the early 70s Thai is Kangativa's Mullumbimby Madness, which may or may not be pure Thai, but is most certainly Thai dominant. The Nimbin Purple is from another Mullumbimby line called Old Mother sativa and is said by 20'thai to come from seeds his uncle found in 50s Thai stick hehe (if you can believe it) The NP is not pure but is skunk crossed, still it is a favorite of mine.

And guys, I sincerely hope I don't put anyone off posting in this thread after me saturating it with my crap. I love seeing everyone's plants no matter the size, and I'd love to grow al the strains I've seen on here like Double Thai, Mango Thai, Hmong Thai etc.

This thread is wonderful and everyone has posted very helpful information. These are GREAT film scans! What type of camera was used? I've got a yashica electro 35 and have been thinking of taking a few shots of my plants with it.

So I transplanted this thai in the ground about 3 weeks ago. Growing fast and nicely. Should start flowering end of July early August.

Hi Infinitesimal,

Your plants really look like old school Thai to me. I believe you may have some very special genetics in these. I wish you all the best in bringing out their potential.

As far as I'm concerned, you could post updates with pictures every day and I'd still never get bored.

Looking really good so far.

Are those Gypsy's?
If they are... how old do you reckon they are?
I have a pack of old Thai Stick by Gypsy and am a bit worried about the germ rate.
