i gave my gsc cookie cuts and mother away.. ive never come across a strain so over hyped in my life! sure she decant smoke but there is so much out there thats better and grows/yeilds MUCH better!

The story I have been told comes from those that have know the cookie fam decades longer than any of this nonsense has been going on...it goes as such....
~Jig, Flux, and Pie started a small number of seeds (supposedly in flux's (mom's) basement).
~They named them after African Countries; for what reason I couldn't tell you.
~Ethiopian was the precursor to "Girl Scout Cookies".
~FLOE not Jigga and not Bern was the first to tell Jig that it has a thin mint smell, like that of the girls scout cookies.
I know people lie, and since there's so many involved in this, it seems a case of telephone added with he said she said. Now with this whole St. G monkey wrench, it completely convoluted the true origins...believe what you will and feel free to think my story is just bs too. Everybody's an expert these days...

Fact is, once you have dealt with "real" gsc, you see the bland market cuts and laugh.
Fact is, most cookie cuts are simply OG smelling doughball cuts. Low yielding, not the greatest terpene profiles. The "strain" gsc is definetly a flo og crossed with durban. If anyone has had other durban cuts, you can taste the bakery in them. I've had a cat from south africa comment that the cookie tastes like home.
I've run several "fookies" next to the original thin mint cut-All I have to say is this.
If its not the thin mint cut or a very special animal cut, you may as well just grow og kush.
Reminds me of the whole trainwreck thing-When I first messed with the arcata cut I think 10-12 years ago, it was a unique representation of its strain type, these days its generic garbage because it got so popular and watered down due to chumps pushing crappy genetics.
The cut originated in the city. Nobody has the real story....NOBODY.

the St. George story has nothing backing it up except hearsay, surprised to see GGG jump into the mix with so little evidence to back that up. the SF circle has many homies up that way in Mendo/SoHum who have easily discredited his story. and anyone who has ever grown out GSC S1 or bag seed will never find any chem leaning phenos because theres no chem in GSC. Me and prophet found a durban leaning pheno out of an S1 run which leads me to believe the durban story much more than the chem story.
Just for fun, can anyone tell me about the dark heart nursery cut. They say it is og X cherry pie. The cut is pretty nice what ever it is. It does not remind me of cherry pie at all. The grow structure is not like og either. It is lanky but grows like a candelabra, not like a Christmas tree.

looks very similar to our "unknown cookies" cut...which i believe is something related to platinum.
was there any purpling on it? more doughy and kush like OGKB versus candy grape like the forum?

It purpled a bit. If I left it longer it would have gotten more purple, but the crystals were getting amber on me so I took them at 8 weeks. Smells like sweet smelling og. Very slight fruitiness.

Truth . I had the real cut that i grew 2 years back and it was the best i've ever had.. taste was amazing, and solid nugs, covered in frost, It was better than the kali mist , real deal trainwreck from 04, real romulan that used to float around in 06, sensei star.. killed all those legendary strains in my opinion
