Hey everyone, long time lurker finally made a user name. I'm looking for strains that produce colored trich heads and different colored hash. Here is an example, it was a unknown purple strain that produced purple hash. Anyone else run into any strains like this?

How can we be sure that these are heads though? We would need a look at a macro shot of it, because much more times It seems that the purple pigments leach into the hash, however I do know there are differently colored heads.

I completely agree, this thread is not designed to critique the hash in my example picture but to discuss strains that develop uniquely colored trich heads,

Purple colored heads are nothing new, but it looks like you have a strain that really has a high %. I could be wrong, but I believe that the purple in the heads is flavonoids. They not only make it taste really good but also are very good for you.

that hash is likely up to 60% thc, probably much less, so that means a lot of other matter, and if the plant was just straight purple no green, then perhaps your seeing thc mixed with purple veg matter.

i dunno though b/c i made ISO twice in my life, and the first tme i used some cannalope haze trim, the ISO came out RED, it was gorgeous.

Also maybe many pics we see of trichs is light bouncing off the veg matter?

Sam Skunkman should come in here, would be nice if he chimed in on this

Interesting thought. The hash pictures was not the highest quality but was extremely pungent and tasted amazing so you could be on to something.

The reason I started this thread was because I had the idea of selectively breeding towards the purple trich head characteristic. The only cut I have been able to find so far that someone has claimed to have purple heads on my are is of a strain called 'shaman'
