MH actually burns hotter than HPS . 600 watt bulbs are more expensive cuz 600 watts is hydro only . theres no commercial application for 600 watt fixtures . in commercial apps , it goes from 400 to 1000 watts nothing in between , which is why they soak ya for 600 watt equipment ..... BS huh ??

i bought a laser temp gun a few months ago...
haHA!... now Ive got a reason to use it

but yeah, they gotch ya by the balls on 600s
there's been instances i could have really used 600w'ers
but with dimable ballasts as cheap as they are it's nice to have the all the horsepower when its needed
and dim down when ya have to

I've got no clue on the bulb temps. I can imagine it either way.

Just harvested the 2nd db. Lots of really frosty trim, should make for some really nice bubble hash. Most of the tops all went completely purple, should be some really nice smoke

Nope MH is a hotter burning bulb . was a sparky for alot of years & dealt with many a HID fixture

From what Ive seen the increased vigor to sour bub side is there even on a back cross.

Frost continues to look great, going to look for that truly fantastic example to use as moms in the f2s this summer.

Will run purple tests tom hill told me about by putting a tray of cuts in the fridge to select specimens who exemplify the trait in this line, try to lock that in I think. Most purples I have tried are weak... (really wanna try some peyote purple though if i can get some)
These SB crosses have the potency so maybe a little work to lock in some purps will pay off.

Very dense, denser than the frist db it seems. The smell is very nice. Has more of a musky sour earthyness to it. Smoked some in a box vape and it was surprisingly stoney for straight off the plant. Have some very amber gooey scissor hash Im about to take a dab of.

Put one of the bb into flower again, she's in the front right. Love those racks I bought. Adjustable, and I can catch the run off on the shelf below and just slide it out and put another tray in below it. Makes watering 10x easier. Good times.

With a 2000k plantmax 1k watt hps my rooms temps were at 84.

Switched to a 4200k supernova 1k watt MH my rooms temps were 79.

Same exact room, setup, airflow, distance from plants and thermometer... How would it be that a MH burns hotter? It puts out less lumens. And while lumens don't matter for photosynthesis it can be a measure of how much energy or heat the bulb is putting off. Can you please help me out with this? I feel kind of stupid now if HPS really is cooler because I'm tellin my buddies it's not and I don't want to be misinforming

Not to throw this thread off topic though. Those Death Bubbles look kill. I had some Death Star once and it still is one of my favs to this day.

Your right & wrong . it depends on the bulb manufacturer & the out puts & lumens of the bulbs , but in general , the MH does burn a few degrees hotter cuz of the utraviolet spectrum they put out where the HPS doesn't

Little of both I'd say. Usually the banner more in the day, then the db at night. db just knocks me out, I love it. Did a really good job on the last banner I ran. I can already tell I could have flushed this db better, but I'll get it next time. Seems like each run is better than the last!

Shit is LOUD too, I cant smoke at work heh... It has a thick smell that hangs on you hard, hands and clothes.
Meant to ask texture wise, did your db come out sorta greasy? I would characterize it as super sticky lol

Oh yeah, thats what I kept forgetting! Yeah, it's insanely greasy, I've been trying to think of the term ever since I started smoking it lol. It's almost like it was dipped in the purest of hash oil. It has trouble breaking up even in a grinder, so damn sticky! Even if you leave a bud out and let it get crumbly, it still has that stick and wont just crumble in your fingers. Cracks me up when I load a bowl. I dont even pack down on it and it all clumps together and moves around as one unit. Stuff is like it's magnetized

Bluebubble is turning out quite nice actually. Wasnt a big stunner at first, but after curing up for a few weeks she's reallllly improved. Taste has gotten much smoother, I must've had more light get to her when I chopped her than I originally thought.

Tastes like a lemony pine cone with hints of a sweet cotton candy blue. Kinda like a mild berry in the background.

High has also improved. Now it starts out as pretty much a 50/50 hybrid, then after about an hour turns into straight indica. Knocked me out the other day mid day, that hasnt happened for awhile

Thanks man! I've never had the chance to smoke straight Sour Bubble. These crosses are the only I've ever had that have sour bubble in them I believe. The Bluebubble tastes pretty decent, really reminds me of camping in a way. The Deathbubble is so nice. It's got that Sour lemony pine right in front, then theres some skunk thats coming out now as well. Amongst it all is that sour breath sorta smell. Kinda like halotosis. I dont know why but I LOVE that smell. Keeps me going back to the jar just to take a whiff. There's also a bit of diesely fuel smell to it as well.

The smoke is incredibly lingering on the db. I can taste it for hours it seems, and you damn near need ISO to get it off your hands after just smoking it.

I just drank a red bull with a bowl of db. I would say the 16oz of red bull is just barely enough to keep me awake and working on the garden. Actually a pretty nice buzz right now, lol.

Bought some more of those shelves today and put them into my veg space. I'm really liking these things. Everything feels so much cleaner, organized, and all around better. More air circulating around the pots, so much easier to water now. I can adjust them up to about 3' too which is perfect for my space. It just feels right, lol.


have 2 bb in the front. Both are same age sadly

I left the one on the left in a party cup for like a month+. I transplanted her once from a 6oz cup to about a 12oz cube pot. She was no happy with me, but was a trooper and really didnt show much sign of stress. Just a tiny little girl that kept stretching up but never out lol. Her main stem became super pulpy it seemed. I could hold it horizontal and the cup and the plant wouldnt bend at all. Not sure what I'm gonna do with her, may just flower he in the 2 gallon shes in and see what I get off two medium colas.

The one on the right is the one in a 7 gallon I believe, about to flower her sometime next week.
