DAMN, some real fire around here.

Unc, PF.....amazing flowers! Look beautiful.

lol.. patience is key with growing.. i hear people say. the longer they run.. the less smell? usually almost every strain ive ran.. smells MORE the longer i let her go..

can i ask if anyone else pulls there lights up 6-10 inches the last week or so and ive experienced more smell too. supposedly.. the less intense light doesnt allow the terpenes to evap/oxidize or watever.. with the high intensity of the light.. ive noticed a real change. like stuff that stunk originally.. now stinks up an entire room/ house/ car.. even just opening the jar up for a second.

Its the opposite experience for me. The longer I let a strain go, the less it smells.
It smells strongest beween week 4 thru 6.
It takes a few days in the jars to bring back the smell it had at week 5.

So your saying that it brings out the smell more when you raise your lights higher?
That would be nice.
I just put my Strawlumbian Shitbrick under my lamp that has 2 others waiting to finish up. The lamp is high because of my tall plant. I hope the smell gets stronger on her because of this, cuz she reeks of strawberry dankness. The lamp is now 32" away from the top of her.
Only 1" away from the tall plant, thats at the outside of my lamp.

Cloning the Glue -

I noticed that the big mother plant that was rootbound doesnt like to be cloned this way. I should have t/p'ed her into a bigger pot and waited 1 week before taking cuts. Some of these cuts are being very stubborn now.
They are much lighter green, the leaves are curling under/look overwatered, and the stems are woody and redish in color.

The cuts from the other 2 GG#4 plants, that were'nt rootbound, are doing great and rooting fine.

The ChemmyJones was the same way. It was rootbound and I took the cuts before up-potting it.
They are looking very sad in the cloner. The mom looks fantastic now, a week later, after up-potting her.

Never take cuts from a rootbound plant.

I find usually if u wait and pull the plants later with a lot more amber to it the smell gets crazy strong. I usually pull my plants at 50% amber also because I love a good couch surfing high. The type of high that when you are driving down the road you feel like you are swerving while driving straight. Lol

But this time around plants were ready and I took them out of light and stuck them in the dark for almost 3 days and holy shit was everything greasy and funky. Nothing lost it's smell either after being a day or drying everything is still just as funky and greasy. The only thing is I think they didn't like 3 full days of complete darkness because some plants started spitting nanners.

Unc's glue does look a tad different then every other glue I see. I assume it is due to environment, mainly his lack of humidity. Not saying it looks worse or better mind you, just different.

I can't do that because my lights are in a fixed position but I do turn them down to 600 for the last week when I start flushing the coco.

On a side note, found me a nice dark striped bean in my finished glue today. It went in the fridge for a couple weeks and then it will be popped.

welcome to the club. props again to josie who made this all possible by not only coming up with this awesome plant but along with some help from some friends did a great job getting it out there to the ic community and growing community in general.. with the good comes the bad. be prepared for everyone you know to hit you up for cuts and then there is the nay-Sayers but in all reality its a really good strain. since i got the cut for free i dont make any money off her and just spread the love. is it the best? thats all a matter of perspective. anyhow, glad you got the glue. its a good one to have! what are your plans for her once she is big enough to take clones from? big things i hope:biggrin:

It is the environment and his macro pic taking skills. My camera cant do that.


I use Gavita so the min distance to the canopy has to be 25". I still get the same aroma when there in full bloom but If you go passed there prime harvest time they do lose aroma from the terpeens degrading from heat and O2 over time. they get a more Chocolate hashy aroma to me . I wont take her passed 70 days. There is a difference in 60 -70 day harvest..

Welcome caregiver..... Uncas His does look a little different I have just installed my new ac to let's see how they do..... I did a try of root riots, clonex rooting gel, clonex rooting solution the liquid. PH 5.5 all the clones are great I got 100%... Transplanting all of them in small square pots with wetable mycorrhiza

Just cuttings wrapped in damp paper towel, with a rubber band around that. Then a plastic baggy around that, also with a rubber band.

The usual process. Im going to try tinfoil for moisture control one time to.see how that works.

i think the tin foil will be annoying. it wont handle as well without tearing. plastic is durable flexible and doesnt tear when you wrap things with it. a condom would be pretty easy too.

I love them. Im using both Gavita, E-Papillion and vertical. The E-P is on the left side, the Gavita is on the right side with a 1k vertically between the 2. I will get another DE system but will go with remote ballast. The refector's that comes with the Gavita/E-P are not as good as the aftermarket units. I have an Agrotech Magnum Double Ended Reflector on the Gavita. The par values from it compared to the the OEM reflector is much better.. If you get the all in one units there not upgradable... My E-P is all in one with the ballast attached to the side, I'm not liking the Par values on it. I cant change the hood to anything else.
