House and Garden / Coco question

What I want to know is how much does this expensive H&G shit cost to fill a 50 gal res?

I am cheap MFer but will pay for performance.

Curremtly using GH flora (3 part)
additives:
cal/mag: 1/2 tsp/gal (first 2-3 weeks) 1/4 tsp/gal for remainder
Rapid start: 1ml/gal veg only
hydroplex: 1/2 - 1 tsp/gal flower
floralisious+: hand water in with nutes from res at about double strength (10ml/5gal) about twice per month. I don't like the biofilm created by flora+ in the res.
I also foliar with floralisious+ and nutes right from the res(1.2ec) diluted to 1/2 strength(.6ec).
I also take rapid start at ratio 4ml/gal in water only and use that to put fresh cuts until I can dip & stick em.

Anyway I hardly spend shit on nutes. I think I am at a point where I can accurately determine by ratios: $nutes/$elec and rates $nutes/gram, $nutes/watt, $nutes/month, $nutes/cycle. And will share when complete. Anyone have such data I'd sure like to compare.
For a 50 gallon res if you use all the additives from H&G or canna a 50 gallon is gonna cost between $40-$50 to fill. If you use canna full line with boost it could be like $60+ depending on how much boost.

If your interested you can play around with the canna stats calculator. If you enter in your cost on the nutes it will tell you the cost of the solution you are mixing up.

Theo $40 seems to be a bit much
Coco A $52 5 liters - 350ml for 50 gal Rez
Coco B $48 5 liters - 350 ml
Roots Excelerator $175 a liter - 55ml
Amino Treatment$123 a liter -125ml
Multi Zen $110 5 liters - 190ml

It gets more expensive towards the end where you use bloom adds but this is when you add less base nutes anyway.

Holy sweet f*ck that's expensive! I just added up a 50 gal (GH nutes in flower)and it came out to $4.00 for the flora 3 part, $2.00 for the calimagic, and $2.50 for the Hydroplex. For a total of $8.50 per 50 gal res.

The Cost To Fill A Res Is Too Damn High!

Hello,

Some people need to add about 100-150 ppm of cal mag to re-mineralize (I think I just made up a new word) your RO water. However, some RO users don't have to. It's about 50/50. When you do add cal mag, add it to the water before adding your Aqua Flakes or Cocos.

Thanks for Rockin' House and Garden!

Just so that I make my opinion clear again...
You do not need calmag with H&G.
Its usually the people having problems that say they need calmag with H&G because they are adding so much other shit.
Peace

I really haven't seen a true cal mag def yet from any of the popular coco nute lines (canna, H&G 6/9). I have seen plenty of overfed lockouts that kind of look like cal mag though.

I'm using straight RO with 5 ml HG cocos/gallon- fed 4x for 1 minute daily. No need for cal or mag with this line imo! I charged my coco with the stuff, too.
Starting my 5th week in flower and plants jumped after I added a half dose of Liquid Koolbloom, the only additive I've really used. I'm going by HG's schedule on when to add boosters, just not using theirs, and I think they're on the money as far as timing goes. It's been a really good experience after using GH for many runs.
Plants look better than ever right about 1.0 EC
Coconutz is right on the money the whole time. From the outside, he's actually quite hilarious!
I have to say, he's been a personal savior a bunch of times reaching out to me through PM and helping me on here. Just don't ask him how to start seeds :p

Ya bro... If I had to survive off of seeds I would have done better living off of the protein in them for a while!
Without clones I would have been lost!
Get pics of those 91's up, homie!
I have some new WiFi from bean that you will want to trade it for!

Youre going to want to use 5-8ml
Higher end if you are only feeding once a day, lower end depending on how often you feed and stage of growth
1.0-1.5ec

Yes. Coconutz is the man. Always willing to help and right on with his advice ABSOLUTLEY EVERY TIME!!

Been using full house and garden line after balancing out coco as coconutz adviced.
Out of so many plants I have going right now not one shows signs of unhappiness.

I know it's a wrong forum but coconutz, do you give advices on stock or bonds?

I did wanted to ask you another question though.
I just closed out first week of bloom.
I use all H&G as directed on their site. My PPM usually ends up at 700 mark.
Disregarding the fact that pots deffenatley look wet and heavy and plants are hydrated.
Do you think it is the time to start feeding them everyday?
Why?

Thank you.

If you are in second week of bloom and you plants aren't DEMANDING to be feed once or multiple times per day in coco then your container is too big:biggrin:

They are evenly and nicely green and don't display signs of any undereeding.

That's not what I'm implying. The major point of growing in coco is small pots that dry out fast so the act of multiple feedings draws more oxygen to the roots. Alien concept to anyone that has grown in soil:biggrin: I already see I screwed up with 3 gal pots and should have went with 1.5s or 2s. How big are yours?
