How to make hash oil manageable

So I had a lot of trim I turned into hash oil using iso alcohol.

I ended with with about 5.5oz of oil. How the hell do people make this stuff manageable? It is so sticky, you can not touch it.

did you just do a quick wash or what was your methodology for making the oil? Im curious because i have a TON of trim and lookin for something to do with it, but it seems like QWISO would be difficult with alot

If you're smart, you'll make bubble hash with the capitate-stalked glands.
With good trim you can yield 10% by weight.

Then, dry the dregs well, and do an Ethanol, or iso extraction to get another ~10% from the capitate-sessile glands and the rest of the plant materiel.

For very large quantities Naphtha works, but it is a bitch to fully purge.

As for handling, I draw it into syringes when it's warm and then squirt measured doses into gelatin capsules as it cools.

I do a full decarb., because my needs are medical and I ingest the oil at low temperatures.
If your oil will be smoked, or vaped, you can skip the decarb., it will happen, "on the fly".

Bubble sucks compare to hash oil

All in how you process it brah.

I've made hash that is every bit as potent as oil.
And did you know that you can make oil from hash?
Hadda do that when I ran out of bud.
Good bubble yields 75-85% but then it's a hassle to smoke.
And to my palate it loses flavor, terpenes evaporate.
Meh, to each, his own.
Give me good bubble!

Aloha,
Weeze

I keep mine in silicone concentrate jars. NoGoo is a good brand. The ones I have can hold a little over 5 grams. I use a metal dabber or wax carver to move little oil hits from the container to my pen vape.

i stopped filtering mine through coffe filter and use cheese cloth instead .. then contaminents make it less sticky.. then i spread it on non stick foil and make it thin .. then into freezer...it breaks apart with knife and stays ok to work with for like 1 min then it gets sticky....i aint a purist and dont wanna buy fancy stuff to smoke it either

I don't know, or am unsure how to portion it up so I can sell it to clients. Right now I have it in the freezer as one big sum wrapped is Saran Wrap. The thing is people only want a gram at a time.

I get what peeps are saying about solvents but at the end of the day science prevails and the solvents evaporate entirely.

Buy a pack of these for $2 each. Use a digital scale to add 1 gram to each container. You can save a little money with the plastic concentrate jars, but these are better.

These are only a few cents each. The pros sell hash oil in these containers at the dispensaries here.

It sounds like you may have Hash Oil in the form of sap. If that's the case you can use those little 5/8 of a dram jars:

http://www.specialtybottle.com/58dramambershortieglassvialwblkcap.aspx

You can put it into the jar with a glass nail by lighting a lighter on the glass above the oil and it will drip right inside the little jar. You can do get it out with a paperclip when you want to use it. The make those jars in different sizes. The smallest one fits a gram. I forget what size the small ones are though but the above link gives you an example. You can still a little piece of the jar in hot water if you want to make it more liquid while someone is working with it or you can make it cold to make it harder when you are working with it. I don't know why people use ISO to make this stuff. There is some nasty shit in there. Use 190 proof ethanol instead or even ever clear.

The solvents do not evaporate entirely, there is a footprint of it no matter what...

The solvents may evaporate but any contaminants in those solvents are left behind.

Some people don't care about a little chemicals but I would prefer not to have them in something I am going to smoke. Especially when sifting or ice can get me a similar product.

I look at all of these solvent based extractions as being the lazy way.

I don't know why people use ISO to make this stuff. There is some nasty shit in there.

No there is not. There is only isopropyl alcohol and water. Unless you are talking about the green stuff, which obviously has something green-colored added to it, but 91% iso that is the color of water is perfectly safe to use, as long as the end product is for vaporization.

To the OP: if your oil was actually extracted properly with a quick wash, then the goopiness of the oil is probably just the result of the stuff being decarbed, at least partially. I partially decarb my oil because I don't have the proper equipment to do a cold purge, and it just happens in the process of purging the alcohol over low heat. I also like the runny quality of decarbed oil, because I exclusively use a vape pen now, and the gentleman's cartridge, so it always remelts and stays at the bottom of the cartridge, and I end up vaping every last bit of it, no waste.

Here's an example of what I extract, and this isn't even one of my quicker washes:

After it cools down i throw it in the freezer and then shatter it, while it's folded up inside of parchment paper. I then put it in one of those silicone jars like pictured on the previous page:

Then after it reaches room temperature it "melts" again, down into a taffy-like texture:

To take pieces out of it, I use a paper clip, or a dabbing tool, and shove it in there, pulling a piece out. It then stretches just like taffy would, until it snaps, and a golden-amber "string" gets all over my hand and requires a cleanup. Here's what it looks like after "tucking" it all back into the jar, after dipping into it:

Thanks for correcting my misinformation. For some reason I thought there was some other contaminants in ISO. Thanks!
