anyone that has used the Solo has told me its the best vape they have tried.

i have been using the same one, same battery ect for 2.5 years now, and I use this vape at least 5 or 6 times a day, everyday.

So ive used it about over 3,500 times and it still works like new

Hello all,

I have got to make the change to vaping.

I have been using my vape box from china for just a short while.

It is something to get used to.

The high is not quite the same.

It is slightly more cumbersome then my glass pipe but much easier on my lungs.

Smoking is just too hard on me these days.

I have read and it seems the Arizer Extreme Q seems to be the front runner next to the volcano.

So, if I were to invest in the Arizer EQ, what improvement will I see over the cheap vape box I have now?

FWIW, I've been told that the Chinese vapes may use suspect materials which may release toxic gases when heated. I had it explained to me that basically a cheap variation of a soldering-iron element is used in place of better materials. Not only the element itself, but the surrounding components will be subjected to repeated heat cycles. I can't substantiate this, but it does make some sense.

If you have the cash for glass-only, I would say Vrip + a good bong or the last Herborizer vaporizers with adjustable temperature. Verdaamper has great reviews as well. This glass vaporizers are the best in terms of taste and purity of vapor (watch out for the heating element though).

Otherwise and for home use, Buddha or Silver Surfer depending on your preferences. I'm happy with mine after years and having tried others. All glass plus ceramic element, cheap and sturdy as shit. Lot's of custom glass and replacements. Quite easy to clean, all parts are removable.

As for the Arizer, Volcano is best for the balloons and Buddha/SS for whipe style... and I honestly don't give a damn about the digital display and all the buttons. It reminds me to a Thermomix or something like that in the design, and normally it's better to specialize in something rather than trying to do everything decently like Arizer does in my opinion.

I don't like Volcano unless for big smoking sessions with lot's of friends. I feel passing the bag is messy and annoying for smoking on your own. I feel that the vapor is drier on my throat and less tasty than with others.

Reading user reviews on forums or independent websites work as well. It's how I decided before buying.

Good tokes!

Volcano really sucks and is old tech

its riding its own coattails from 15 years ago,

tbh its a piece of shit. It was cool, for a few years, but they have many many superior models, for much cheaper.

you wouldn't have a link to Herbalaire 2.2 would you?? anyone? after years of vaping and a lot of money spent on garbage vapes, I've come to realize the importance of the cleanliness of the vaporizer... how does it come apart for cleaning?

I have the 2.2 and would recommend you buy boxes full of replacement parts.
These things need to be cleaned all the fucking time or the hits suck and taste like nothing!
It comes apart really easily and is a breeze to clean/
I let the used pieces stack up and clean them all at the same time.
Thinking about just ordering the screens by the case and not reusing them though. It gets to be a pain in the ass

How do they suck? How is an older tech that works any less valid than a new one?

I don't really know of any superior for less. Show us.

I don't have one (I use both a silver surfer and an arizer solo daily) but would love to have one if the price were right. Not needing one because there are alternatives is very different than the Volcano sucking. Unless you give actual alternatives to the volcano it kind of sounds more like envy than fact. :tiphat:

hey pinkus.. I too run an SSV, for about 5 years, but run a VapirNO2 for a portable... i've also used an extreme q a couple times.. for bagging, it might be that lower priced version of the volcano. as far as the 'whip' ... the last time I used EQ it had no provision to turn off the fan (maybe that's changed??) so with the 'whip' attached, it just keeps blowing smoke (vapes) even if no one has it in their mouth, wasting herb . so for the EQ, good for the 'bag' not so good with the whip. for out with the 'crowd', joints..

EQ remote has fan speed control buttons and the base has a menu that has to be cycled.
Id also get a backup remote because its a pain to use the menu

Hello all,

I just pulled th trigger on a Arizer EQ 4.0 @ $143 ebay out of FLA.

Should be here on Saturday.
Till then I have my cheap china vape box.

Its been about 5 days now since I put down my pipe and my lungs fell much better for it.

I do find it fascinating that my paraphernalia now comes with a remote!

I've said this before, but really don't get a Pax Ploom, unless you have extra money to throw away. I'm now calling my Pax " The One Bowl Wonder" because it will require charging before the next. It also burns more than it vapes.

how about the name of one of the "many that are better and cheaper". I guess they are loud.

They haven't seemed loud to me.

The vape quality has always been top quality IME, but the person running it was experienced. That goes for flavor and NOT whispy, again, IME.

I guess the bag is loud, that didn't freak me out or bother me at all. I know they do need to be replaced, Ihear turkey baster bags are the best option.

I guess if it's ugly it is ubber ugly cuz it is german.

Vape quality was top quality IME.

I think it's valid that they are way over priced. Do you like any bag vapes?, because I think they all make noise and have crinkly bags.

3 vape mini review:

VOLCANO = If you want to take big deep hits and share them. Unlike a whip style where there is a green hit and it goes down from there, the volcano mixes everything up in the bag. This can be a bit diluted for whip style vape lovers. Downside: bags. Limited amount of hits and it takes a minute to change.
Extreme Q = Neat little device. The one I saw does not do crap without the remote. This can do bags and whip. The whip is a little thin, but on the highest setting it blows lots of air. Downside: if you want to control the drag this is not the vape. If you need a vape to pump up your lungs this will do it. It is also a little goofy to load.
Natural Goods = If you like thick vapor hits this is the one. You can pack in more herb than the two above and you don't have to grind it as fine. Plus it is super fast to remove and pack. Downside: takes a good time to heat up. Glass whips break.

no flavor? the first bag tastes absolutely heavenly!
true, any further bags taste toasted, but if you only use a little each time and reload after each bag this can be circumvented.
IMHO the taste beats the hell out of bongs, joints, pipes, etc.

loud bag? well, if it were quieter then the plastic would have to have plasticizer in it, which escapes over time and is really unhealthy.
(same reason potato chip bags are loud - plasticizer is poison)

inefficient vaping?? ya gotta be joking!
i pull 3 bags from each load and the leftovers are so weak you can barely get any buzz off them if you smoke a whole load of them in a bong.
the 'canos efficiency is excellent! (unless you use it wrong, like by way overloading the chamber)

i've used it daily for 7 years. one rubber ring and one screen is all i needed in parts during this time. (except bags of course)

I have only used the Volcano a couple of times in GHSC in Amsterdam, but I was very impressed. Taste was there (Super Lemon Haze) and I was buckled after two bags (that were shared with my mrs). I've bought her the Arizer Extreme Q which she is very happy with. I have the Arizer Solo for around the house, but you do need a good set of lungs the draw through that :)
