In mid harvest...

Taking pictures as I go, and will upload them after this weekend. So far, my expectations are being exceeded for the first run at this site. The DHOG is the frostiest that I have seen her. I have run her three times now, so no surprises IMO. I am stoked on the 4 that are filling up a light in Bravo now.
Tomorrow will be all SLH, which should hit 25% based on resin density...

What does you DHOG smell like? Is it a real distinct smell, that no other plants share? That's the way my DHOG is. It reeks big time. The smell an open jar puts in the room is skunk funk to the max!!!! Not to mention harvest time when I have to bathe in iso to get the smell off my body.

My cut is definitely Chem 91 dominant. It is almost spot on for Chem Sis, which was thought to be Chem 91 at first...

Light penetration was definitely not an issue with the 1k lights. I only had them at 100% for 2-3 weeks, and had to lower them to 750 watts for most of the run, since my canopy management was lacking to say the least. These DHOG buds are from the very base of the plant, less than 1" from the Hydroton!

Super Lemon Haze the day before chop.

I ran 20 trays of SLH today with my helper, and ended up with 8 rack shelves. A safe estimate is 3#, with each layer holding on average 6 ounces.

Nursery Update

Nursery Update

Mothers are doing good, and I feel much better having them off the ground. I will have totes with gear below them, as well as a dedicated feed tank.
picture.php

I relocated the cuttings, and freshly rooted plants into the shower, and added a shower curtain to increase RH.
picture.php

I have some decisions to make here. I need 24 to fill Alpha, and the rest go outside. With Bravo just finishing Week 1, I can select that room from the two trays I have rooting now.
picture.php

Oh yeah, I still have about 30% of Alpha to finish in the next couple of days.

So far, I have jarred up the following:
120g GDP
30g Urkle
160g OGHC
470g C99
I should have a full tally by the end of next weekend.

The "Phoenix Cut"?

The "Phoenix Cut"?

So I was cleaning up in the yard the other day, and had to do a double take! Adjacent to the 14' x 40' raised bed, is an additional raised bed that is about 14' x 10' that was likely used for late starts, and medium cleaning.
We have a stinging nettle that resembles strawberry leaves, and that is what I thought it was at first, but nope... I placed a tomato cage around it so it wouldn't get knocked over. Note the stinging nettle behind it that is similar at a distance.
picture.php

picture.php

It is already showing pistols, so it is a female no doubt, but here is where it could be interesting... It is either one of two things. Either, a random seed from last years OD crop, or a rootball that went dormant during our very mild winter, and revegged during that time. There is no mutant reveg growth, just very fat Indica leaves.
She will likely flower early and reveg if it was a clone. I may take a couple cuts before that happens just in case it is something special.
picture.php

That's it for tonight. I will be back at it in the morning, and will likely have some very big news in the next 48 hours...

Thanks for stopping by! I fully expect that plant to prematurely flower in the next month or so. I may take a couple cuts just in case. If it is from seed it may not reveg.

Bravo: Day 8

Bravo: Day 8

I found out how to fine tune my white balance on my camera, so the pictures should be better. I will be looking for a tripod pretty quickly. Overall the screens are filling up nicely for only one week. The SSOG being the fast finisher that she is is already forming pre flowers...

Bravo Day 8 Cont...

Bravo Day 8 Cont...

Tahoe in the back, WiFi Alien in the front, coming along...
picture.php

Here is a great illustration of the benefits of weaving. This branch will likely get wrapped at least 2-3 more times, each time leaving a node behind. If this run of Headband is even close to last time, I should pull 2# light easy.
picture.php

The veg area is filling up again, but after I clean up Alpha, most of a tray will be gone, with the rest going outside.
picture.php

Three rows of blocks are left to right WiFi Alien x 4, GG#4 x 8, and OGHC x 12. I have 6 more rooted Glue cuts on the shelf, and will likely run them in Bravo in 8 weeks. I will have to top the shit out of them to fit that schedule. They may go outside after all...

nice. buds look great. new round looks great. going pro with this shit
Thanks bro! Still tons of dialing to do, but I am feeling pretty good so far.
On my short list, I have been devising a mobile RH machine that I can move from one room to the other as needed. Since both rooms are set 5 weeks apart, I wont need elevated humidity in both rooms at the same time. The single largest limiting factor right now is 20% RH for the first couple weeks until enough plant matter is in there to create it via transpiration. The new round went through a rough patch just like the last, prior to the flip. I was lucky to have an extra 10-15 days to veg in the flower room, going forward, I wont have that luxury. Plants that were green going in, would purple up due to low VPD, and growth would be sluggish.
I think a shallow large tote on a dolly of sorts. Plumbed to exhaust four different directions, so that it can sit in the middle of the room.
Damn, just smoked some OGHC that has been curing, damn myrcene is making my eyes heavy...

I'm glad you haven't given up on vert. I've seen a lot of people give up on vert recently on both the forums I check. I was really hoping it wasn't a trend.

Just got caught up on the last 10 pages of your grow. I can't wait to watch your progress at the new location. That's friggin badass.

And I have also e-stalked you relentlessly :D

I like your method but am still not entirely sold on using Blumats with anything except straight water. Worried the carrots would gunk up. I'd love to hear more about it from you sometime. Thinkin about making the switch but have to run a tester first. Got 15 blumats sitting in my basement for exactly that reason but had to cancel the project right before it was time to pop beans. Not like I'm bitter or anything. Oh no.

 Haven't been stalking me relentlessly, or you'd know I now have a working gravity fed vertical drip system, with individual plant drains . Blumats worked well for me, but had the occasional runaway issue, so they were replaced. I don't want to hijack arm's thread though. Shoot me a pm, and i'll lay out the details for you :tiphat:.
