maybe real deal ECSD will make the cut..........but I guess you would need to have access to it to say.
fuck cuts, pop seeds. people wasting so much time growing out shit that's been grown to death. how the fuck you expect to get killer elites if no one's gonna pop seeds? they don't get delivered by jesus claus on july 4th. you actually have to pop seeds and look for em.
w/o elites to use as a benchmark then how do you know if you have found the next killer one via seed?

people have told me in the past.. because i cant get my hands on all the elite clones going around.. that the bud i grow couldnt be as good as any elite. because i didnt have a benchmark... but.. i have popped thousands of seeds since i started growing.. and ive grown elites.. just lost em 3 years ago and have yet to even bother to get any back.. i like the variety seeds produce.. its very satisfying when u cross some shit.. and then everyone u sell to or smoke with is saying how its the best they have seen in a while .. i usually find keepers.. and go to my customers who are kinda like me.. and wont smoke anything but good bud.. id rather roll up my sugar leaf.. then buy the stuff available in my area.
me personally . i know when i find something close to elite .. when my guy is begging me for clones and wanting to trade shit hes never wanted to trade before lol. but honestly.. no1 can say that seeds cannot produce elites because every single elite out there came from seed.. alot came from BAGSEED.. and ACCIDENTAL POLLINATIONS..
so to say seeds arent as good as elites. is BS.. . especially because in alot of medical places now.. atleast 80% of the clones going around have mites.. or some sort of disease or pm.. or something not fun to deal with .,

if all you ever did was pop seeds then you would select what works best for you.....w/o comparing it to what some consider keepers or elites then you can only tell yourself that yours is better. if like jointop said that it keeps getting asked for then it probably is better than hoarded or elite's.

I also hope to find stuff that pushes out the cuts I like best via popping seeds. my problem is thinning female phenos from the seeds I pop b/c Im a hoarder, i still run 2 diff. phenos from 5 diff. strains b/c I want to be sure not to kill the one that works best for me.

to me an elite strain is not a title I give a cut rather one given by those who have grown way more strains than me.......a strain that is kept in gardens for yield / flavor or potency.
it doesn't make it a keeper in my garden though.
meh to each his own. and you're right. its 100% subjective. most popular elite these days is GSC and "KUSH"es. i've had so many kushes i could never count em all. none of em especially wowed me with the exception of once i got what was actually billed as OGK and not just generically called "kush". it was better than the rest. but still nothing to write home about for me. my favorite weed of all time is still some imported sativa that had me floating for hours.

a 100% sativa is my favorite and its a shame not more people care to take the time to grow long flowering sativas but w/any law change here ill start searching thru them to find what I like.

if weed was weed and so on, how is it that anyone really has a favorite? and why in the hell would anyone keep a cut around if it there wasn't some aspect of it that put it above the other plants around it? of course popping seeds is a good thing, and you do it to find something that is keeper status. which gets shared unless you're a level 17 master douche and voila: elite cut. which is preferred by most because of it's known qualities and usually only badmouthed by the poor, unfortunate bastards that don't have access for whatever random reason. if you pay attention you'll notice that most folks that have been gifted something out of kindness tend to be very appreciative and even if a cut isn't their cup of tea they'll say it just that way. I cant imagine someone giving me something and my estimation be that it sucks or ain't shit etc. every grower should pop a few beans once in a while at least just because, but its the chicken and the egg shit and, whether you only grow elites or only from seed or both like everybody else, it comes down to how and why YOU grow. I grow what I grow cause I can and I like it best of what I have. I usually grow from clone for the consistenty of a known plant but I pop a few beans here and there. some of the best weed I ever grew came from crap bagseed, some came from a fucking clone so where's that leave me? I like adventure but I also like reliability too.

is the second in-crossing of Karma's SSSDH(ojd) X Jack Herer #22
this was 3 males to two females ... the boys were symmetrical in shape and growth ... side branches would satellite out from the main stem but still stay tight on the way up. two of the boys reeked of grapefruit ... kept the third because of his awesome stature and symmetrical satellite shape. the females were the two best reps ... of the two different phenos so far in the first in-cross. one was dark green, squat, broad leaves and sassy as all get out ... smelled like a new shower curtain ... the other was little bit taller with good symmetry started covering up with trichs real early and on top of the greasy kerosene soaked shower curtain odor was a gentle bouquet of lemon.
bottom jar: (Velvet Rush x NL5/Haze) x (SSSDH x Jack IX1)
a cross of two crosses ... Swami's Velvet Rush x NL5/Haze and My SSSDH x Jack IX1
the velvet rush and nl5/haze were both older seeds. said to have been in a freezer for 20+ years... that cross was made from the best of that first successful germinations... the Velvet Rush was said to be from the same parent stock DJ short used to make Blueberry and the NL5 x Neville's Haze was said to come from an early the Seedbank catalog.
Yeah, I have high hopes for both of them ...
