Violeta, Zamal x Orient Express, Purple Haze x Malawi

Hi ya all, I decided to make one thread for my adventures on here, and here is the update I promised on the limited editions I got...

Violeta

"Violeta (Purple Malawi x Purple PCK) is quite early flowering (9-10 weeks) and easy to grow, it doesn't stretch much and has a structure more suitable for SOG indoors. Most of the plants are very colorful since the start of flowering, only a few get the colors in late flowering. You can use big pots to maximize the yield and boost the speed growth. " Dubi

" Violeta has 2 main phenos: the first one is the very early flowering 8-9 week pheno, almost like pure PCK, very colorful compact with hashy smell although small yield. The other is the sativa/indica, good yield, more vigorous, half of the plants from this sativa/indica pheno show purple/red colors since the start of flowering, the other half on the second half of flowering. Flowering time is 9-10 weeks. It has an exotic balsamic aroma with forest fruits background. " Luis

So I decided to put one in flower from seed. And I have 2 others in veg, one I topped, the other one I tried to FIM but I missed it... no joke.

Both sprouted 05.01, in jiffy/propagator til the 14.01, then in 2 liter pots, 5 liter pots and finally 12 liter pots a few time ago. Still in veg.

and here you can compare with one (front) wich has sprouted on 05.01, put in jiffy til the 19.01, then directly in 5 liter pot and under 12/12 since 25.01

Zamal x Orient Express

" Zamal x Orient Express usually needs 10-11 weeks to finish and can produce very nice yields. Floral organic aromas, more powerful than Violeta. " Luis

Out of 3 seeds, I had one very vigorous, one a little less, and one really slow and like a dwarf, but I kept it anyway.

All sprouted on 08.01. In jiffy till the 19.01, one in flower since 25.01 the one in the back, 5 liter pot, on the left, the average vigorous one. On the right you have the same but in veg til 09.01,now in flower, the most vigorous, and in the front, still in a 2 liter pot, the dwarf, still in veg.

Purple Haze x Malawi

Looks like its a malawi pheno, no thin leaves...
Both sprouted on 22.01, in jiffy til 25.01, then in 2 liter pots under 12/12 since 26.01.

thanx man, just started growing a couple of months back. only one grow finished so far, next one is 2 weeks but not ace related. cheers :)

Small update.

The Violeta and Zamal x OE wich has been put under 12/12 on the 25th january finally showed their first pistils yesterday. 3 weeks seems quite long but since they were transplanted directly from jiffy tablets to 5 liter pots I guess its normal, the root system probably wasnt developped yet. Lets see how much time the topped ones will take. Pics coming up next time.

The purple haze x malawi are growing strong and well, they're already as big as the other ones even being one month behind. How the fuck Im gonna deal with that?

Welcome vladimiroslav :)

You chose 3 different style of strains, Violeta is an early flowering sativa/indica hybrid, Zamal x Orient Express has a moderate flowering time and the Purple Haze Malawi is a long flowering pure tropical sativa.

Violeta (Purple Malawi x Purple PCK) will probably be released in the second half of this year, the Zamal x Orient Express stock has been sold even before is listed in our website!

Thank you very much for your support with our new limited editions. They look very healthy and happy. Best wishes!

Hey Vlad, Pulling up a chair on this 1.
I have a pack of Violeta which will be outdoors-we live in SE Asia and in 45 years as a consumer/grower have never seen a purple plant that wasn't coloring up from environmental stress. Look forward to your posts. So far looks good!

I was curious why you chose to start 12/12 on a faster flowerer like Violeta?

Hey Again,

I noticed you are a new grower and that you are using LEDs as your primary(sole?) light source. Unless tech has changed imo going with LEDs, especially your first grow, is asking for mini-yields - why did you choose LEDs? I hope you prove me wrong...

Hi Prof,

Well, saying its a 12/12 was not 100% true. She had 2 weeks in a jiffy and one in a 5 liter pot before hitting 12/12, so its 3 weeks in reality. I did it because its my 3rd grow ever and my 2 first trys were cheap seeds, so I was really excited to make it happen as fast as possible with good genetics. Those were first on the list and I actually hoped for a malawi pheno and was anticipating a crazy stretch, thats the main reason I've started the Violeta that fast.

About leds: I had a fire a year and half ago at home, so dealing with HID lights was scaring me a bit. I decided to go for multi panel leds because I can adapt each panel to a different height, no heat, less electric, water and nutrients consumption, and no paranoia when Im not home... so its a win win situation for me. I dont care that much about yield since the first goal was to not buy weed anymore. All the rest is bonus, so these leds give me enough to smoke til the next harvest, and since Im running a perpetual...

Hold on, Im uploading pics.

And finally, the Purple Haze x Malawi.
Transplanted in 5 liters pots 2weeks ago but the bigger bitch is still stretching. Already showed pistils a week ago while her little sister did not yet...

The bigger is around 1.5m

and remember how small they were 2 months ago.

thats it!

Wow, the Violeta looks sweet!
The tall bitch will probably take loooong but will be worth it, also like the zamal x OE.

Very nice plants for a third grow, Vladimiroslav:)

Thanx Koondense, I did read a lot before my grows, so hopefully now I do everything as I should, and it seems like the plants agree :)

Small update:

I forgot to take clones from 2 of the 3 phenos of my Violeta's. I knew it is a bit late since they were all flowering but I decided to try anyway. Surprise, yesterday I saw white strings coming out from the rapidrooters I used, so I transplanted them in 0.5 liter pots and hopefully I'll be able to make something useful out of it. Cloned on 22.03, roots coming out of the sponge the 03.04... 11 days under leds.

The Purple Haze x Malawi rooted in only 8 days.

I just topped 2 of my Zamal Hash, lets see how long they take.

Pics coming!

Vlad,
is Zamal Hash the limited released version or your own cross of Zamal x OE?

Can't wait to see how they look with the tops off:)
