first off I'm in coco, and been doing trees but recently switched back to scrog. my ? or theory is. instant stress training may be better then low stress training. this is what I did I had some girls that were vegged for at least 4 weeks with no training. threw them under my scrog set up carefully not to snap any branches, bent and pulled branches where i wanted them for the next 2 days. now they are doing great. my thoughts are the plant recovers quicker from instant or close to instant training over the plant being pulled and bent thru out its veg or early flower, plant auxins are forced to move once not multiple times. not recomended for newbees

I think plant auxins are constantly being produced. I also think the goal of LST is to get mutliple growing tips at the same height. You can't get that with a single training. I don't think bending a pliable branch creates any measurable stress. Lastly, I don't have time for LST.

lst doesn't exactly take time. I just poke a hole in the side of a container and tie her down with a garbage bag twisty, takes 20 secs for the entire process. Don't have to wait for it to grow or anything, you could go clone to flower and just tie them down when you start 12/12 no problem.Unless you are trying to sculpt some lucky bamboo shit with your plants...

I honestly haven't seen a difference of topping, lst, super cropping. I've done it with same strain side by side and there wasn't a noticeable difference of end product to me. I just lst now because it's so easy to do, easier than the other ways imo and no "OPPS" risk, unless you really bend the shit out of her.
