Stage there's only 100 of tickets so I'm sure if not sold out already they will very fast I got mine for the bud and concentrate cups I wasnt going to miss this, last year was ablast! I don't think they will be hurtin if a few decide they aren't going for 1 reason or another, if you do tho and if they still have tickets see you there

As of yet they haven't cashed the cheque sent in with our reservation. Given HC's media release, it may be a blessing in disguise, as people wearing judge's passes will be too easy a target. We'll most likely still go to the show as you're right, it is/was a blast.

That's because I am away till March 31, 2014. I do have someone in the office making sure that they check off how many passes are sold.

If you are now saying that you don't want to be a judge then you should send me an email letting me know so we don't cash the cheque on April 2, 2014

Unless Conroy is successful MMAR will be dead by then. Reports from court seem to give cause for cautious optimism.

Well if that is the consensus then I concur but all I ever hear is that BC is way more pot friendly and the judges refusing the mandatory minimums kinda coincides with that theory. But seeing as I'm like 20min from convention centre and have never been to a pot expo I'll likely make an appearance.

We have 7 pot friendly lounges in Toronto and I don't see any of them closing their doors come April 1, 2014. You DON'T need a medical card to get into any of the lounges all that you require is that you are 18 yr or older and have ID to prove your age.

Since you asked.

My comments have to do with the Cannabis Cup and the Expo. With an allowed possession limit of 150g, that would leave 20g after entering 1 strain. If you went down to 15 jars from 24, whatever amount is in them will still count towards your personal possession limit.

Or are there, as yet undisclosed, possession limits for growers in the LP approval stream?

Maybe it's just me; but given the terms of the injunction regarding MMJ policy, a competition looks like a huge heat score, should Harper and HC be vindictive. While Toronto and the local cops may be cool, Harper can still direct the RCMP to regard the various Cup entrants as 'low hanging fruit'.

From a Cup judges' point of view, or someone only entering 1 strain, not an issue. For people who enter more than 1 strain, or medibles, it may be a concern. Everyone has to assess the amount of risk they are prepared to take and act accordingly.

is more than a little oversimplistic. While technically every canadian could have a license for x g; they first need to find a doctor or nurse practitioner to sign the prescription. Not an easy thing, unless MedPot, Groo and others, over at the TY or MedPot forums, are being disingenuous about not being able to find someone to sign. HC has designed the system to be as user unfriendly as possible.

Personally, my pain docs are split on the issue of signing, now that this constitutes a formal prescription. The specialist who prescribes my pain meds will sign (at no charge), while the doc who gives me nerve blocks will not. The two of them together give seminars on pain control to GPs and other docs, so they are up on the latest modalities.

Hopefully, things will change for the better; and, they are better now, then when this thread first appeared. In my opinion, anyone thinking that there is no risk to entering the cup, or being over their possession limit at the show, may be in for a nasty surprise though.

I may have misspoke. My wife pointed out to me that patients covered by MMPR have to register with a Licensed Producer and that the container label constitutes their license. As such, those covered by MMPR would not be legal if in possession of mj not grown by their LP.

Come to think of it, that was part of what originally piqued my interest with this thread.
