hey kml420, I never watched that show, yes it does look quite cheesy

no some other tv documentary on the discovery channel passed and it was more serious
they had various people who spent their life studying and researching on bigfoot

and interviewed people who had seen bigfoot
some didn't want to be seen on camera

I have looked into bigfoots myself also do to reading so much shit on the internt. Sometimes I have to take a day off and let something new happen, I think I may have read the entire nets.....(jokin)

Anyways this website has dots on the map where there have been sightings, and you can also go in and read the interviews from the witness. They go back a LONG time and some of the storys will just have you rolling.

The most convincing aspect of the whole idea on the website is the map its self. These people aren't sighting these things everywhere, it is a certain type of environment and they are consolidated to these. If people were just crazy I think we would see the storys spread out more. The map more so looks like something you would see in animal facts for any other species showing its habitat area.

I think I am pro bigfoot, the stories are all to closley related spread out through time in some general areas. there have been sitings in north america now for 400 years. The show is cheesy but I watch it anyways. Now I will end with a quote.

In a time when even homeless people have cellphones with digital cameras there should be some decent footage by now. Those shows are absolutely ridiculous I mean who watches to find out if they actually find him, wouldn't it have been in the news long before the show aired? The ghost ones are better some creepy shit on them sometimes though.

You know whats really interesting take pureknowledge's Big foot sighting state list and overlay that with a list of state ufo sightings.... http://www.nuforc.org/webreports/ndxloc.html... Maybe bigfoot is an alien or maybe these people to get some nightlife in they're area's?? Just saying...

I am saying that show on animal planet is ridiculous. I neither believe nor doubt the existence of Bigfoot, it is an unanswered question to me as far as I am concerned. I used to be more convinced, but after hundereds of years of Europeans living here and thousands of years of natives before that, you would think they would have found more than just possible footprints. If not a corpse or living one, at least a skeleton, a bone, a tooth, a tuft of fur, a pile of poop, something, ANYTHING besides easily fabricated accounts and poor quality video footage. And footprints that would not be impossible to fake. I believe there is a slight chance somehow they could have eluded detection all this time by burying their dead and their poop and trying to leave no traces of their existence behind. But common, it is far more likely they do not exist. And if they are that good at eluding detection, they walk under power lines and steal birdfeeders like those ding dongs claim? You don't have to be a rocket scientist to see that does not add up.

I remember reading an article about snow leopards in an old National Geographic magazine years ago. These animals live in rugged mountain conditions in places like Tibet. There has been lots of evidence of their existence from dead animals, fur, prints, scat etc... Nobody had taken a picture of a live one up until about 1995 despite many attempts at getting a picture. The National Geographic article had the first published pictures of the snow leopard and it was quite a feat to get them.

It seems to be pretty fishy for any of these mystery creatures to exist without leaving some evidence behind. All animals need a breeding population and will leave some trace of their existence.

Bigfoot and the Lock Ness monster are the best examples of hoaxes being perpetrated on the weak of mind. There is an entire industry making money selling stuff to believers with only a few fake pictures to show for over 50 years of BS.

Ya, that show blows. I have been hooked on Jeremy Wade's show (pun intended) and saw an episode of the finding bigfoot while searching for a River monster fix. Animal Planet is hit and miss anymore.

Wade's show kicks ass though. I am a fishing nut so some might find it a bit boring.

I don't believe it. There would have to be a breeding population, people would have found physical evidence like bones, corpses, not just blurry videos. Anyways there are no apes aside from humans in North America, and all other primates live in tropical regions. I don't think there's a very good chance that some outlier has eluded detection this long, especially as we're encroaching on territories of pretty much every animal.

I think Mitch Hedberg said it best:tiphat:

"I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry, and that's extra scary to me. There's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside. Run, he's fuzzy, get out of here".

there was a thread about this... i saw a lot of video testimonials and I didn't feel that the people we're acting or whatever

as crazy as that might sound, I sensed truth when I watched and heard a lot of testimonials

We don't have BIGFOOT here in Australia.....we have BIGCAT.

Yes, you know it makes sense!

These BIGCATS are supposedly descendants of puma mascots released here by US troops in WW2.

They have allegedly grown to gigantic size on their diet of kangaroos, koalas, possums and snakes.

There is not one photo in existance of them.

I go hunting for Sambar deer here in Oz.

On a few occasions I have sighted a cat.

An escaped or dumped cat turned feral and living off the bush....birds, bugs, lizards and maybe little snakes.

They were not BIGCATS.

But I blew them up with my 30/06 anyway.

I hate feral cats, they kill native animals.
