I agree, I make sure I give my plants a watering and after they suck it up then I chop. I like the plants being rigid for as long as possible to make trimming easier. I don't know if there is any other benefits to doing this, but not having to lift and screw with leaves while trimming is a good enough reason for me.

So obviously your pretty new to growing, but this question isnt THAT stupid. there is ALOT of shitty information on the internet so i cant blame you for reading this stupid idea somewhere.
First off 2 weeks of dark, BAD IDEA. plants do not use water during the dark period. watering while lights are off increases fungal development in the soil, causing root rot and other root diseases... thats bad news.
second off, the final 2 weeks of flowering is where you get most of your bud weight and density. seeing as how during lights off plants dont "breathe" or use CO2 your definitely shooting yourself in the foot and killing your final product.
what you CAN do is put them into complete darkness for 48hrs, ive done this before with no ill effect, but didnt get much increase in resin or quality.

Production may be lower than for other strains but this is compensated by its resin coated flowers.
Very good strength and a mixed physical and mental medicinal effect, which is truly pleasurable.

It is advisable to leave them in complete darkness for the last 5 days, to increase resin production as much as possible.
Bear in mind that it can be easily affected by mould in humid areas.

ive had good results by reducing the lights on period to 8hrs a day for the last week. it seemed to increase flavor, not really sure it did anything for potency.
