The transponders have to be able to be manually turned off on the ground to prevent radar clutter. I use to fly a lot and have a hard time figuring how they can lose a plane. They will probably track someone's phone to find it...

Well if that's the case wouldn't that problem be solved by figuring out a system that minimizes or avoids the clutter? I'd guess that there is a way technologically to do that but it's probably not cheap and that's probably why it's never been explored and/or implemented.
these planes cost billions, there should/MUST be a defeat system that doesn't allow a plane in the air to shut down those systems, on the ground is understandable given the situation you describe.
In circumstances like this there ARE NO coincidences....the two Iranians on board with stolen passports, very fishy to say the least. Both tickets were purchased with CASH, both were ONE WAY TICKETS and both purchased by a mysterious Iranian middle man...VERY SUSPICIOUS! The media first reported they were merely illegal immigrants who left iran for Asia, NOW we find out that info was provided by the IRANIAN GOVT..anyone trust the Iranian govt?? I dont believe this was a coincidence at all, the Iranians were involved somehow...

Perhaps an Iranian intel op with the goal of bolstering their Cyber warfare agency to launch increased cyber attacks against the US infrastructure? We ARE HIGHLY dependent upon automated tech for said infrastructure so it stands to reason that would be a HVT for any anti American govt.. Regardless, this is looking more and more like a planned, highly orchestrated operation with definitive obfuscation being perpetrated. "Verry Interestink" to use the word of Col Klink lol.

surely one or a couple monitoring satellites could have caught a video of where the plane ended up? or so I heard from a buddy; I dunno if there are such satellites with such capabilities to begin with.
I think the problem lies in to many planes in to small of an area when they are at an airport, but you would think they could come up with a system that would turn the transponder off at low altitude.

This to me, clearly looks like a hijacking with a crew or pilots carrying it out.
Civilian radar lost contact with flight 370 because the transponders/IFF were powered down which can be done at a flick of a switch.
But military and satellite radars were still able to track the plane before it totally vanished. Thats because there is a comprehensive checklist involved to completely shut down all communications and most likely the list involved opening circuit breaker panels and popping breakers to completely shut down all comm links/gps/ the works. It would take a lot of know how and probably technical manuals so the integrated servo actuators and flight control computers arent accidently powered down instead. (Which also could have happened...leading to a crash)
That not only takes someone with skill but could explain why civilian radar first lost track while military and sat. radar were still able to track it, because the orchestrator was goign through the shut down checklist.
The said things is I fear all crew and passenger were killed. Military sat radar tracked the boeing 777 to an altitude of 45000 feet. That is the max ceiling for that plane. This was done to probably depressurize the plane and induce suffocation to everyone on board along with ice cold temps. The depressurization at 45000 feet would suffocate extremely quick.
You see, the o2 on a plane is no where indefinite, it is meant for a short period of time while the cockpit has enough o2 for hours. The plane was tracked at 45000 feet and it maintained the heading for over 15 minutes, which is more then enough time to kill the crew and passengers. Then it ascended back down to 24000 feet and vanished or dropped below radar signature altitude and landed.
If this plane was stolen it needed about 3500 feet to land and a huge hanger to hide in.
The things to consider is what was on board to make such a crime of taking 230 lifes worth it? Sadly, much more evil has been committed to achieve a monetary goal.
This would explain why no debris and FDR pings are being located.

a switch depending on altitude would be a problem, Denver Intl airport is 5,430 above sea level, JFK airport is 13 feet above sea level.
a switch that locks all communications devices on when the jet engines are revved high enough for takeoff would work, once in the air they'd be compelled to stay activated due to engine rpm's.......
Well i guess this is why I make hash and play with toys instead of designing airplane systems. However they could use AGL instead of MSL, humm time for a wake and bake....
Iranians, cyber warfare experts, plane hijacking with a sketchy disappearance. How perfect can it get for the USA? Is it confirmed there weren't any Russians on that plane as well? Now we only need some cyber attacks against USA gov and we've got a good enough reason to nuke the shit out of Iran.

I actually watched most of it, and the insight I gained was more about human behaviour than anything else, basically, bullshit talking does not discriminate gender or age.

I followed the link and watched a bit of the video. Its over an hour long.
This was alot of cherry picked conjecture. Her logic was confusing and filled with alot of paranoia.
Why does she have the need to constantly say the word "Media" in italics?
Why is she quoting op ed articles and books as factual? She went on for 20 minutes on Rand Corp and proceeded to talk about a "probable" x-ray weapon built in a secret base in California.
She doesn't seem entirely lucid to me either.
