RDWC Roots are never white? even with tea

I have a 4 site DIY current culture system with a water volume of 20 gallons for veg and then i transfer them to a 75g 4x4 tray with about 35-50g of water in it. I ran into this clear slime on the first run and they have made a sorta half ass recovery from this with EWC tea i made. there in flower now but have been vegging for 2 months growing very slow and burning like crazy at 1.0 EC including my tap ec of .2 So i got these guys in the flowering system now @ day 3 with nutes set at 0.86 EC any higher and they burn :( the roots look stained brown by the netpot and the ends are white with new growth. bloom nutes are dutchmaster Gold Bloom A and B.

i have some new clones in the current culture in veg again and it looks like there taking the same path as the last. i picked up some Botanicare PbP Grow and there taking off with nice root growth in only 12 days. the first ones were nothing like this so i figured its the botanicare. or maybe the tea. i dont know where the brown comes from. but there still the brown gunk on the roots ?

PH 5.8 Temp 69 PPM 470 @.68 conversion with tap water of 150 PPM also at .68 conversion.

Lighting is a 12 Bulb t5ho 18/6

on the first run i used dutchmaster one grow and the zone and silica and h202 and nothing could beat the slime not even 3ml per gallon of zone, so i made the tea and boom it cured the slime but man it sucks brewing tea all the time just to still have brown roots even on brand new clones with tea but hey at least there still growing, this second batch is doing much better but the one in bloom are hanging in there with a slow recovery but i figured there growing toss em in. try again.

should i keep using the tea or go back to sterile with my chiller running at 68? ill post pick in a min with a video too.

My opinion is it is temperature related, all the chemicals seem to do is treat a pre existing condition. A strong water flow is desireable also.

Look up Snypes threads and try chlorine bleach I think .25 ml/20 gallons for the newer concentrated Clorox unscented. No tea for me. ;) Personally I use a chiller but your temps are fine. I add DO (dissolved oxygen) to my water too. Also try a light cover over your net pots - simply panda film with a slit to go around plant stems in center.

Your water source is most likely contaminated with a fungi.
The teas will do nothing for this...

Look into dutch master zone and sterilizing your grow.
may not be what you want to hear, however i have been there.

Just curious....In post #9, second and third pic, what is in the bottom there that looks like spaghetti? Is that the control bucket and some sort of filter?

I've tried the Dutchmaster in the past but I'll try again. I've set up a test bucket. With 10ml DM grow A and 10ml grow b and 20ml Dm add 27. To 4 gallons of water and about 5ml of DM zone. And put a clone in last night. I use zero hydroton so I could see all the new growth. Its a 5 inch neoprene collar. 2 of em stacked on top of each other and set inside the bucket lid. Water levels 2 inches below the base of the rooted cut from the aero cloner.

You should run 4 ml of zone per gallon in your tester.

good luck
