mr shiva its uncommon to get a # on the east side that's over 448...or over 440.
Most pounds are 448 grams because people sell ounces as 28 grams instead of 28.4 grams. It's just how it is.

Guys , guys , guys.....Go do some homework and look up the difference between "standard weights and measures" , "metric weights and measures" , and lastly "Troy" weights and measures....A troy oz is 31.104 gms , but only applied to precious metals....
Imperial measures were adopted by the UK in the late 1800`s and deemed to be as I stated 28.34 grams per oz and 454 gms per lb , and that`s why Garhart was talkin bout splittin mex bricks in 1/2 @ 500 gms cuz Mexico deals in metric measures.....
Forever and a day "standard" weights and measures has ALWAYS been 448 gm lbs , 224 1/2`s , 112 1/4`s , and 28 gm ozs.....period....
Everyone in the black market BEFORE dope growing in the US with imported shit has ALWAYS weighed lbs @ 448 using the Standard weights and measures scale , and THAT`S where the unit of measure came from , and I assure all here nobody pulled the number outta the air OR out their ass , it is what it is....
I always weighed my shit @ 448 with smuggled/imported dope , and once I started growing I upped it to 460 as a gesture of good faith to the 1 guy I wholesaled all product to so he felt good about the transactions and came back for everything I always had...
460`s good business in my book just like several above me have stated , but it AIN`T due to any weights and measures scale...Never sold an oz in my life , but EVERYONE here I know save a few weigh their sacks @ 30 gms , for repeat business.....just makes sense...but again....
Don`t EXPECT metric/imperial weight to come into play on the streets , cuz bet your ass it`s gonna be 28 gm ozs IF you`re lucky usually less , and God forbid you haveta look in these places for weight....
2/3`s of the country aren`t lucky enough to have corner dope stores , and standard weights and measures apply EVERYWHERE except maybe in Cali and CO or MI , maybe ME...but I`ve been wrong before.....just not much....

Since we don`t use or recognize metric weight in the US , how can you say anything but that 448 has always been the weight for lbs Calcio......at least it has for everyone I know from the US , coast to coast , north to south.....and that`s many many folks over the 34 + yrs I grew....now....
Do the clubs give ANYTHING over 28 gms for an oz ?.....or 3.5 for 1/8`ths , 7 for 1/4`s , 14 for 1/2`s ?.....You and I both know better.....as I stated above....
I always GAVE extra as a gesture of good faith , but guaranteed 448 is the standard here across the board , and that`s why the original post was made about 448 , and I merely came in to tell jackel where that unit of measure came from.....
Vend 454 to the clubs , and bet your ass it goes in their cash registers for the extra 6 gms.....

I didn't vend by the oz, I vended lbs and a lb is 454g everywhere in the world. I let the clubs worry about grams, 1/8 oz, 1/4 oz, 1/2 oz and oz, thats not my game. If I wanted to break shit down and get rid of it myself, then I would worry about it, but I pushed packs and that's all I care about.
If the US doesn't use the metric system then why is everything weighed in grams over here? Gram is a unit of measurement in the metric system...
Not trying to start an argument just stating what my experiences and my opinion, I think the 448g lb is bad math and it makes us look bad to the rest of the world.
Packs in the midwest show up here from far away vac'd and sealed with well over 454g... always, always, always. Been that way since early 90's, was that way when I last saw an out of town elbow a year or so ago. The extra weight is there so that there is no concern about shorting. It is considered cream... and whoever gets the milk from the doorstep, skims the cream. Right? That's the way my grandpa always put it anyways. 
The drop to 448 happens when it has been passed down the line. Don't like being skimmed? Demand packs in original sealed vac condition... and don't fall for foodsaver vac bags either - you want the unmarked commercial kitchen bags, sealed in a vac chamber.

pretty funny thinking of someone skimming nugs off real lbs and then re-selling them at 448 I imagine a greedy hamster running on a wheel in their mind. I get the street team selling sacks & not using the decimal system. Anything that makes it harder for the street team just slows down business.

I'm going to guess you have never shopped for weed in the emerald triangle. You won't find a lot of fancy packaging for the most part. Vac chamber / nitro sealed packs are about as common as riding a unicorn through a double rainbow and having it go viral on youtube. I hear bigfoot packs his like that, and maybe the elves that live under mt. shasta.
Seriously though, good call on demanding actual packaging. For the most part thank your local drug trafficking organization for the packaging, it happens after the sale in most cases, repacked for transport of whatever mode. (mule, donkey, unicorn, airplane, kayak, sedan, semi, train, fishing boat)

Hey Calcio....In no way was or am I trying to argue about the "fact" that lbs get distributed EVERYWHERE in the continental US @ 448 gms except for as I stated in my earlier post "the med states"....now...
I suppose you missed my same post about folks doing their homework and doing a google search on the "difference" between "Standard weights and measures" compared to "Imperial/metric weights and measures" , and lastly Troy weights and measures that`re ALL different....
Standard weights and measures are NOT made up and have existed here in the US as long as weights and measures have been used in "the youngest country" on earth , so again....Please...your opinion is your opinion and how you "think" is your perogative and I respect that.....
Please read my other post and you`ll see where my head`s at as far as dispensing lbs to wholesalers that moved my product once I started growing product....
Before that , EVERYTHING that was imported/smuggled into the US CAME in "kilo`s" as in Mexican bricks , and or hash from further points beyond.....then.....
The "dealers" used the standard weights and measures scale to skim the extra 52 grams off every 1000 gram kilo as extra profit because with every 10 kilo`s , the dealers skimmed and extra 520 grams that was free and again , added to their profit margin....
Colombian dope came in bales and was still bought by the kilo , but yet since the dealers sold shit by the "standard weights and measures" scale , there again shit was just cream skimmed off the top for increased profit margin...anyways....
That`s where it came from Calcio , and still exists to this day in EVERY market here except for as I said earlier , the medville markets....and...
Shit shipped east from medville may very well be and weigh 454 grams when it leaves , but guaranteed that shit`s SOLD at 448 gms per lb , and broke down exactly as has been stated by numerous folks that`ve posted here , unless you`re lucky enough to be on the inside of the wholesale end of things......
Makes us look bad to the rest of the world ?.....Like dope dealers give 2 shits...It`s all about profit versus cost , as in any free market scenario....Risk versus reward in an "ILLEGAL" market....not what happens in medville....

I get what you are saying bro, I guess I'm looking at it from the Columbians point of view. He sells kilos, he doesn't care what the dealer does with them afterwards, he just wants to move his kilos. I just wanted to move my packs and I chose to weigh them out at 454g. I can't expect everyone to live up to that standard when the breakdown comes to 448g. Yea someone is getting free bud...but I still got paid for it. Looking back I shoulda taken those 6 grams and made samples from them...
No you should continue to weigh your units out to actual pounds or over.
